What is the TRUTH about DS-3025 and I-693

I recently came across this information as well. USCIS LOST my husband's medical that he came into the country with, but we DO have a vaccination report D-3025 (for use with Ds-2053,Ds-2054?) that is stamped and signed by the CS in his home country.

My husband did come in on a K-1 fiancee visa. We did apply for his I-485 within one year of that exam. His medical exam was clean with no problems whatsoever.

According to the I-693 instructions, we DO NOT NEED ANOTHER MEDICAL EXAM, which is what we were told to get.

Further, we do have his original vaccination record from the CS. We showed it to them in person and provided them with copies and they didn't seem to care.

Now we have an RFE saying that we need an I-693 and clearly the instructions state that we do NOT need a medical exam, and that the vaccination report should be sufficient.

So whats the deal? I have a DS-3025 and according to the instructions we do not need another medical exam...?

They lost your medical so it's like he never did it... so the I-693 instructions talking about the medical that was already done don't apply to you.. because they don't have proof you already did it.

Your choices are to:

1. Contact the doc in the home country to get a copy of the K1 medical (if possible)

2. Do another medical

3. Contact your senator/congressman and hope they're able to sort this out. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
