We made the most of our Christmas apart by sending each other care packages with presents, and we celebrated with our respective families on the actual day and bragged to our relatives about the visa process :D

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas/holiday season!

Our naturalization timeline
1/12/2015 - Application sent to Phoenix service center by USPS priority mail

1/14/2015 - Package received in Phoenix

1/16/2015 - NOA date (hard copy received 1/22)

1/20/2015 - Check cashed

2/09/2015 - Biometrics

2/11/2015 - In line for interview

3/28/2015 - Hard copy interview notice received

4/29/2015 - Interview at Chicago field office - Approved!!!

5/22/2015 - Oath ceremony - Now a US citizen!!!!!!

My two lovely teen daughters came with their mom.

The real reason was to see their 83 yr old grandmother.

I never thought twice they were coming to see me.

They always criticized anything I bought for them so...

I gave them money (more than $30, less than $100).

They did a ceremonial QE2 "thank you daddy" curtsy.

Then my older one said "I don't think this would be enough to buy a bumper of a car."

- that's MY girl, has the old man's sense of humor!

When it came time to leave, "let's have a hug."

-they rushed to the car and slammed the door.

No comment either pro or con from my ex. :blush:

Wife worked 20 hours Christmas day, she was on call, I insisted on driving her, 200 miles total during icy rains at an average speed of 25 mph. We finally got home at 4:30 AM, dead exhausted. For some reason, hospital emergency rooms are packed on Christmas day.

Granddaughter came over Saturday, she was cold, that ice rain wrecked my son's blower motor in his car, I got that working for him, well not for him, for my granddaughter. We got presents just for our granddaughter, but this time my wife didn't have time to wrap them, but my wife didn't mind and certainly our granddaughter didn't mind either. I set up my G-scale train for her, for some reason, that choo-choo scared her, so a big hug and back to her toys. Nothing makes Christmas more special than a baby. Got her a lot of princess type toys from Disneyworld, all on half price with free shipping. She really likes her tea set the most.

I know you wanted to convey enthusiasm but that would be better using bold or a larger font size or both.

Just select the text you want to enhance and click on the "b" icon for bold and/or the "sizes" drop-down bar to select the size.

You can double-up on features such as these.

You can't use them (the above mentioned enhancements) in subject lines, but it's considered bad manners to shout (use all caps) in the subject line.
