I will leave soon. Jenn's decade thread and some new pix of my nephew on FB have me all so I will not respond there, but here, with my commies.

In the last 10 years I can count many disappointments and sad moments, but I would rather focus on the cool stuff, lest I cry and ruin my makeup.

In 1998, I became the youngest university chief of staff in Latin America. Got tired of admin, and thought it was about time to become a full-fledged (and fvcked) member of the academic masses. Searched for the coolest supervisor, moved to Canada; where I finished graduate school and saw my dream of teaching fulfilled. But there was something amiss.

During those times, The Creator looked down at me with Love and gave me a new life - for which I am enormously grateful, one day at a time.

I met Bren in late 2005 and could not help falling for him. We got married 5 months later. How blessed. Five months later I was present and active participant when my brother got married to one of the loveliest women I know -######, I am crying for realsss- and they gave me the most wonderful gist in November of 2008 - my Diego was born and is a joy.

My mother had a brain aneurysm explode and again, The Creator looked upon her with Love and gave her back to us. She is my best friend, and confidant. The Creator has also seen fit to throw a myriad of severe conditions on the Red One; yet has given me the Light to see him through them.

I met you all. I have friends. I love and am loved. I have Today to make it better; and to be a better me.

I kinda wish we had some alcohol in the house.

Bishop, there is a Thai restaurant where I used to work that is owned by a Thai family. Always three little Thai women running around. They make THE BEST cashew chicken I have ever had. I wish I knew how to make it like them. I upgraded to 'medium' while eating there - holy cow - how do they eat hot?!

Sounds like a fun place BelovedHermanaMal... I burned out all my taste buds while living in Asia and they never came back...so now I can eat molten lava and not notice the heat
