LOL...Tamara ! I usually host and do alot of the cooking, but this year we are going to my brother's. (He is deep frying the turkey outdoors, I have never had it that way.) I made 2 Pumpkin Pies today and always do the green bean casserole and my special Bourbon candied yams

I am thankful for so much: my son's recovery, having a warm home w/ lots of equity, choices, kindness of others, freedom, and God's grace and mercy every day (F)

Happy Thanksgiving! It sure feels good not to be going into work today. I wish I could have slept in a bit more.

Nagi, how did your turkey turn out?

Henna, my SIL (years ago) did the deep fry turkey and it turned out awful. I hope yours turns out better.

Tamara, enjoy your day off!

Baj, what's your plans today?

Maureen, the bird liked it...so it must have turned out ok. ;)

Everyone have a very Happy Squanto Day!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I slept thru most of the parade :o Usually I am up early watching the parade, cooking and waiting for my guests. We are at my bro's now and he decided not to deep fry the turkey after all. I really do like the traditional basted, with the gravy !!! I usually put quarted oranges in the cavity and baste with those juices also...yummy !

Tamara ~ Your menu sounds awesome

I hope you all have a great, relaxing day !
