Kohl's allows one to bring back clothes that you have worn/washed/taken off the tags, at least thats what their commercial stated!! Never heard of a store doing that!

All I can say, is eww, yuck. Now I will be more careful about what clothes I purchase there.

Ugh, I am so disappointed in Eurovision this year.

It's been mostly slow songs, and the results have been just weird. Little to no catchy songs have gone through, and someone tone deaf went to the finals.

Bleh, what happened to their musical roots.

I dont think Kohls resells them as new!! Prob sends them back to the distributor

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Pretty Similar

Both Winners and TJ Maxx are owned by the UK company TK Maxx

I have never been to a Winners, but If there was a TJ Maxx and Winners side by side, I would shop at Winners every time. The name says it all WIN!!!!. TJ Maxx for some reason reminds me of that annoying coke commercial in the late 80's with Max Headroom.

Yeah, I think I saw that on visajourney.com when someone posted it here. That was the most disgusting thing. If the stuff gets sent to their "distributor" for resale in some knock off store, then maybe I will be avoiding the likes of TJ Maxx (although the one in my town is always dirty and clothes are everywhere, the Goodwill and Salvation Army are cleaner and more organized and at least there, I know the clothes have been worn before and plan accordingly).

I used to work at a wal-mart in Canada, and eventhough it was illegal to do so, they would accept returns on underwear. All the customer had to do was make a big enough scene.....they don't want anyone seeing an unhappy customer. The majority of the time it was just written off, but there were occasions that it made it back onto the floor.

Ive known friends that worked in Wal*Mart at the returns desk, they basically said they would accept anything as a return if you start to make a scene, receipt or not.

Even stuff from other stores(Non Wal*Mart), and even stuff thats CLEARLY been used a lot.

That's interesting about the returns. I brought back some underwear I had purchased at BigLots - it was the wrong size when I got it home and I just wanted to exchange it for the correct size. When I turned it in at the counter, she took a pair of scissors and basically cut it into thirds - no way it could be used again. I was somewhat aghast because it hadn't been worn or anything, but then I though - yeah, underwear - no way to know for sure so I guess that is one way to ensure it doesn't get back on the shelves.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Better than our day at least. We were supposed to spend it driving to a nearby town to do some cheap memorial day shopping until the hubby told me last minute (I mean LAST MINUTE, we were almost ready to go out the door) that to do this shopping (and by shopping I mean like spending $50 max, on a few cheap shirts and a book maybe, with a coupon I had) we'd have to go into overdraft on the bank account because we had nothing. We didn't even have money to do laundry, or get gas in the car.

so yeah, I say F-you to today.
