Interview Date: November 06, 2009, 8:30AM

1. Upon the entrance gate, there are two (2) lines: 1 for Immigrants/K-1,K-3 while the 2nd line is for Non - Immigrants like Tourist Visa Applicants. The guard looked for my Appointment Letter and a valid I.D. (Postal ID is okay because it was I showed to the guard); then he told me to proceed to Gate 2. Upon entering the door of Gate 2, everything that you have be it your bag, coat, or folder/s of documents, you will be asked by the guard to put them in a tray that will pass through an X-ray machine. If everything's okay then you can go ahead to the Immigrant Visa Unit; dont worry you will not be lost since there are signs/arrows for you to follow.

2. Once you enter the IV Unit, fall in line at the Ticket Booth. The ticket number will serve as your identification number through out the whole process. After which, next steps will follow as stated below:

2.1 Finger-scanning: Listen to your name to be called to know which window to go for this procedure. You be asked for your name and birthday. After this, go back to your seat and wait for your number to be flashed on the screens in order for you to know which window to go for the Pre-Screening.

2.2 Pre-Screening: In what I've noticed, most of the Pre-Screeners are Filipinos so they might ask questions in tagalog or English. Here are the questions to me by the last Pre-Screener at window 18.

a. Who is your petitioner?

b. How did you meet?

c. When was the 1st and last visit/s?

d. When did you get married?

e. How old are you?

f. Were you married before?

g. Was your husband married before? If YES, how many times?

* Documents asked: Proof of Relationship lile photos, emails and chat logs

CEMAR

If everything is okay, the pre-screener will tell you to go back to your seat for Final Interview. If I'm not mistaken, I waited only for about 3-5mins and w0w! my number was again flashed on the screen and I have to go to window 32. (and yes, my heart starts to beat so fast! hehehe!). When somebody came out from the room-type interview room, I was told by the embassy to now enter. Upon entering room 32, I saw a tall, young-looking and handsome american; thank God he looked nice so no reason to be nervous! hahaha! The CO then told me to seat down and he told me to raise my right hand and swear before him; i just answered: Yes Sir then he started to ask some questions liek the following:

a. what is your name?

b. how old are you?

c. how did you meet your husband?

d. when did start communicating?

e. when did you get married?

f. what does he do?

g. is he still working?

After all these questions, he told me: okay, your visa has been approved. Go back to your seat outside and wait for your number/name to be called for further instruction. At first I did not even get it! Am I approved?!. did I hear it right?!. Then I said THANK YOU SIR and he said thank you as well then I went out of the room. And about 3-5minutes of waiting, I heard my name called by the lady who did my pre-screening and she told me: Fill up mo ito then punta ka sa booth ng Air21 magbayad ka then pwede na umuwi. I said Thank you mam... that was it!!!

Right now I am still waiting for my visa to be delivered; hopefully I will have it tomorrow or Thrusday since the status of my shipment through the website of Air21 is: Shipment left the Air21 gateway cargohauz.

POINTS TO PONDER ON for those who will be having their interview:

1. Stay Positive; once you get nervous, you might mess up!

2. Think Positive

3. Dress conservatively

4. Be SURE you have all the documents that you need OR that might be asked from you

5. ANSWER DIRECT TO THE POINT! DO NOT GO AROUND THE BUSH! IF THE QUESTION IS ANSWERABLE BY YES OR NO; JUST SAY YES OR NO SIR.

6. Try to maintain EYE CONTACT with the Pre-screener and most especially to the CO. By doing this, they will know you are telling the TRUTH. Remember, the interview with the CO is just a verification of the answers you gave to the Pre-screener. Every answer that you give to the Pre-screener will be written for the CO use as a guide in asking you questions.

7. STAY POSITIVE, THINK POSITIVE AND BRING HOME THE PINK!!!!
