@ a loves a

I think it was Drue & Naddy who started a spreadsheet. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=ttO...OH-VZE2O76pOeLQ

Some of us then have gone through all the receipt numbers for a specific filing date. IE Nov 3rd to find I129F's.

We have put this data in the spreadsheet then as a labour of love (penatence if you are religious) we regularly check those reciept numbers in the normal way.

i thought that on the west, u take a number and u stand in line..but it looks like opposit..u have to fight for your place... :(

everyday i wake up, with a thought the night to come, 'cos i know another day has past without me being with the love of my love,

even i know all this, one day, will be behind us...still it hurts...

I think everyone here knows how you feel Leptir. Absolutely it hurts. I won't tell you to be patient, or some other cliche' saying, but you are among people who feel your pain. We are going through it together. So hang in there kitty. :P (lol lied about the cliche').

I think one thing worth doing is responding to the 16-February blog posting on the USCIS Blog: http://www.uscis.gov/blog/

They seem to indicate that they are taking the appropriate measures to continue processing applications despite the priority given to Haitian immigration requests. It's pretty clear that there's a problem right now at the USCIS centers (certainly the Vermont one) as the Igor metrics seem to indicate that very few I-129F's are being processed. So for them to say that the Haitian applications are not impacting the normal workload of applications is completely false. We were seeing 50-60 day turnarounds, and now we are much closer to 90-120 days. Something doesn't feel quite right.

Since the blog post doesn't include any factual data, I think it would be worthwhile to provide the USCIS Management Team with some data...

Thoughts? (I am the first post, a bit angry first thing this morning..) whoops :-)

The Haiti earthquake happened in January. The slowdown at the VSC happened in Nov. They are not related. The VSC approved about 4000 in Oct, 2000 in Nov, and 1500 in Dec. If the VSC would have approved cases in order, I don't think anyone would have noticed a difference in processing times.

Okay I've been commenting on here for a while, my fiancee and I received our NOA1 on November 20th. I work and live in Florida in the hospitality industry. The amount of Haitian workers that I see everyday is staggering. This is coming from Ohio originally I think that is probably why I think that way. In Ohio the only Haitians you would ever see are doctors or psychologists, here it seems that you couldn't run a housekeeping department without them, so much so that in my industry I think I would be better of learning French or Creole instead of Spanish. Yes the majority of them send money back to family but the single ones that are here have girl/boyfriends and/or fiance/es that are still in Haiti. This has made me think quite a bit about the different people that have been getting approved before us. Yes the ones that are closest to my heart are the soldiers, I couldn't think of a better feeling than knowing that while I was fighting for my country at home waiting for me was my wife/husband. The 2nd would be the Haitians that make a much larger group than one would think and I would venture a guess that most live in Florida which is under the VSC. I would also venture a guess that the VSC would not only process new applications quicker but also go back to the people that had already applied. Unfortunately this very well could be what has delayed October/November but I would not want to take the place of either group. I myself still believe that when November comes around I will be getting married to my wonderful bride.

I urge the rest of this thread to think positively, the negative energy will just destroy us and that's not going to help any of us survive the wait. Good luck to everyone and I hope for sanity sake we all get good news soon. I'm not saying chill out or stop worrying but I will say maybe the bigger picture makes more sense than it would if you look at it just at the surface. Am I preparing my letter to my congress woman, yes but I doubt I will be putting anger in the letter just concern. I will say that the only words that I will release on this forum will be positive and uplifting because that is what I need. I get enough drama at work, I get enough politics at work, and I get enough stress by being away from the woman that I love, I come here for support so I will not tell people to stop the negativity but I will try to encourage you to be uplifting to each other.

As a side note to "Haitian Americans" here is the wikipedia page about the (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haitian_American) all top 36 communities that Haitian Americans live are in VSC territory.
