My kids pediatrician recommended it, he's a great doc, I had them circumcised. Nuff said. My husband also told me that apparently it will be better for their love life in the future.

The opposite is true actually.

Why is this conversation limited to male circumcision? They do it to women as well.. Snip snip ladies?

Not the same thing at all.

The male foreskin is really just that - a flap of skin. There are blood vessels and nerves which are severed, but no muscular tissues.

In contrast, the term "female circumcision" is a misnomer. It is really genital mutilation and typically involves removal of the ####### as well as disfiguring of the #######. Victims of this procedure often have pain and difficulty with urination, menstruation and sexual activity throughout their lives. It's really no laughing matter.

Quite true, it is no laughing matter at all. It is usually done in a most unsanitary manner, not in a hospital by a doctor. More like a medicine man doing it in the jungle.

when i came to the us i had never seen uncircumcized before... at the ripe old age of 22.

i know that this is probably not what guys would want to hear but it just looked smaller... well not smaller but thinner. i didn't know about circumcision was. how naive of me!

now i am married to an american - who is - and i would definitely have my sons circumcized because i know that american women frown upon uncircumcied penises... err.... peni? lol.

Circumcised.

Look at your fingers w/ that nice circumcised look to them. Could you imagine a bunch of extra foreskin on the stubs of each of your fingers that engulfed the nail (uncircumcised). That would be so gross!
