both feet on accelerator,

head turned to talk to someone in back seat:

ITALY.

One hand on 12oz double shot latte,

one knee on wheel,

cradling cell phone,

foot on brake,

mind on radio game,

banging head on steering wheel while stuck in traffic:

SEATTLE.

alternating between both feet being on the

accelerator, and both feet on brake,

throwing McDonald's bag out the window:

NORTH CAROLINA, in my case, last week.......A lady driver rear-ended me at a stop sign :

I think the driving test involves stoned examiners, definitely -- how else can there be so many bad drivers?

Personally speaking I find driving in California to be far safer than in NJ.

Incidentally NJ is the only state I've seen a guy dump his fast food tray out the window at the lights at the end of the off-ramp.

And, on the NY side I might add, the only state we've driven through where my wife has actually felt frightened to drive on the roads. People seem to have little regard for other road users.
