we also want a church wedding but too many requirements with too short of time. we only want a very simple church wedding though.

for us octoberians, do you reckon we could possibly be with our dear ones by May or June of 2010?

i keep on checking the list with the approved NOA2s - hoping I can pull the approval to September then October!!!

speed up the K1s please!

Bang on answer, LadyRed

As for Igor's list, I actually saw our names go to #207, then back to #208! Regression sucks! I'm sure it's got to do with the timing that people sign up for VJ and fill in their timelines. For example, someone joining now but who is further ahead in terms of their timeline would push people like us back on Igor's list. I guess it's nothing more than a rough indicator. I'm trying not to live by that list, but it's hard!

Hello and welcome!!! I have definitely not been brave enough to pick a date and start planning. Maybe closer to the time of the visa interview, though. One of my "real life" friends who is also an active user here on VJ managed to plan and successfully execute her wedding during the K-1 processing time, so it's certainly not impossible. Good luck to you!!

James and I have really good news, though. We just booked the plane tickets, and I am going to visit him in England/Ireland at the end of February! We will be together for our eight year anniversary, and it will be the first time we've ever been together for any of our anniversaries! I'm so excited!! I need to get one of those countdown tickers :D

I'm actually really surprised at how patient Carl and I are being. But I guess it's because we know even if we're approved soon, we won't be seeing each other for a long time anyway, so there's not point in freaking out yet. We'll see if that still holds true next week, or even tomorrow for that matter tho. I just miss him so much and wish I could fast forward to the wedding. I feel like all I do is look at wedding dresses...ha ha.

Just trying to keep our thread on top. Have any of you started to gather information (pictures, evidence of relationship) for the interview?

Yes, most definitely! I'm probably driving John nuts with all the "notes" and reminders that I give him every day, like "get long copy of your birth certificate!", "request copies of police reports from age 16", etc. I've got SO much documentation of our relationship, it will be hard to not send him with too much stuff. I've kept everything for our scrap book, not realizing that it would come in handy for our fiance visa. B)
