Welcome aboard LeoLaLit !!!

Thanks jhay! I really like the enthusiasm and excitement here! Having this kind of support from fellow vj-ers is pretty awesome!

Welcome LeoLaLit

You sent your package in a day before me - I bet they are cashing your check now or the bank has cashed it and just hasn't put it on your bank statement yet! Mine cashed yesterday but didn't show up until this morning..

Thanks Mitch and Bruna. Yeah, as of last night, my check hasn't been cashed yet... haven't checked today... if they cash checks by batch... i'm pretty sure they've cashed my check already when they cashed yours... you're probably right, it's probably not reflected on my online bank statement yet... Thanks! :)

Thanks everyone! It's good to have people to talk to. I just scared the Poo out of my cousin who's also doing this whole process with her fiance in England. She sent her packet out in September, and didn't know if she had gotten here NOA1 yet and she was panicking thinking something was wrong. Then she remember they did get it. Lol it was funny, but I felt bad for freaking her out. So they're waiting for the NOA2 now. This is all so crazy! I feel lucky I have so many ppl to talk with about this. I'm going to a family reunion next month for thanksgiving, and I'm not looking forward to explaining the whole situation a million times to people who just won't understand it. Don't you hate it when they go "why does it take so long?" why can't he just come now?? Ugh!!!

Yes, it is really hard explaining to the relatives and co-workers, etc, and other people you are a little less close to. I feel like it's extra-hard in our case because we aren't *formally* engaged with a ring and everything, we're just ready to get married already!!

You know what im a little worry, that i have seen here thats sometimes in the consulate they ask for a ring receive.....thats will be a problem for us?

No, it's not a problem at all if you don't have a ring by the time you get to the consulate stage. Lots of couples never get engagement rings. What proves your engagement is the letters of intent that you send with the I-129F!

In regards to the NOA1, but the way, most people don't actually receive their HARD COPY in a few days. We actually got our hard copy 13 days after we sent our package. It's just that the hard copy has a "notice date," and this is technically the "NOA1 date" you might see on some timelines, like mine. It sounds like you are on schedule.

And ... welcome to you and visa-visa!!!

And HAPPY HALLOWEEN to everyone :):halloween:

"Contrary to what the cynics say, distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love... It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough..."- Anonymous
