My fiancee's interview was today in New Delhi she was approved total actual interview time was only about 20 minutes, about 3 questions. One of her questions was "Do you love your fiance?", she passed that one with flying colors :). I haven't had a chance to speak with her in detail because she had a train to catch and we both could barely speak in all the excitement, I'll post details of her experience so it might help someone else. She tells me her interviewer was nice and friendly, not rude, like I had heard from some people.

There were three K1 interview's in New Delhi today including my fiancee two were approved she left before the third's interview hopefully she was approved as well. Word of advice come to your interview as early as possible all three K1 interviews had a 9:00am time, the VFS center told her to be there at 8:30a, I told her to be there at 7:30a, she was there at 7:15a they wouldn't let her in until 7:30a when they did she was token #12, the 2nd K1 applicant was #13, and the third one came later at number twenty something. There were 17 other visa interviews before 9:00a, a total of 33 interviews before 10:00a and for the day they had 41 interviews. According to the interview timings the K1 interviews should have been #18-23, so by arriving early my fiancee was able to move up 6 to 11 interviews. She entered the embassy at 7:30a and came out at 10:20a.

Now the next part start's, planning for her trip, marriage, honeymoon and than the part 2 of the K-1 process the I-485 Petition.

Thank you to the entire VJ community! We couldn't have been as prepared for the process if we didn't have the VJ community's experience to help us. I know I would have messed up my affidavit of support forms 100% if it weren't for VJ.

Congrats, corcor! And yay for arriving visas, lilacvioletrose, and soon-to-be-arriving fiancés, Leenie! L WAS going to come on the 25th, but then he realized that Brazil's playing the World Cup that day and he implored to delay a day, so he's coming the 26th. :)

Haha, that is so cute :D! Yeah, the World Cup is a big draw everywhere BUT here, so I guess that's understandable

Oh yeah! I got my approval on Friday :D

Now it's my turn to wait for that stinkin envelope... wedding is in 13 days!!!

My fiance' has his visa in HAND! It came today (exactly 2 months until our wedding) just before 11 a.m. I am so relieved! It actually was quick from when it was recorded on the Canada post website to now.

We are going to get married July 11, 2010! It is good to be almost to the POE! He plans that around July 1, 2010.

Congrats corcor & gs! (And hopefully, congrats to Matt & Robot & thekatocat as well!)

@Leenie: They joke in Brazil that patriotism comes about every four years - during the World Cup. I actually wasn't surprised he asked to delay. But it's ok, when we decided to change the location and date (again <_<), we decided on a 7/7 wedding ... which happens to be the day of the second semifinals, and if Brazil is in 2G and makes it to the semifinals, that'll be their semifinals. We might end up missing the first half. Oh, and I promised that we won't be in transit the day of the finals, so we'll probably not stop at the Grand Canyon on our way back from Vegas

Hi everyone,

I am still in Japan, after visiting the Tokyo with my fiancee 2 days ago. The interview was quite easy, and I had a suspicion which of the two COs at the window would handle our case. I could actually see the guy thumbing through and studying our case for about 10 minutes before she was called up - because I caught a glimpse of her passport photo.

At about 9:30am, we had the interview after waiting around getting her biometrics and submitting documents ( hers and my I-134 bundle ). They kept most of my I-134 paperwork, but handed back some of my tax, bank, real estate papers. The room had seats for about 100 - some Russian family, an Indian family, some Japanese ladies with military husbands sat in the room..

I was fortunate to meet another woman whose fiance from California, is a VJ member. how cool is that! I said hello and heard her story.

Anyways the CO asked my fiancee how we met. And tried to find out any mistakes in her answer as to how many times did she visit me. We practiced that question already!

He did ask her about where she will live, what she plans to do in America. My fiancee said he made some small jokes and overall he was quite courteous and cheerful. His only concern was why she lost her F-1 visa paperwork from 10 years ago when she studied English in Los Angeles. But it was fine- she was honest - that she probably lost it.

This morning while I slept, a delivery man knocked at her door and presented the expack 500 packet from the US Embassy -- it is like a return packet for documents in Japan. We will open it together at dinner tonight to really celebrate.

I can't thank VJ enough for giving me clarity and hope during these 200 exact days of wondering what's going on

Here are some photos of her Expack 500 and the US Embassy in Tokyo.
