Carl had his interview this morning and was approved with no problems! His visa should be on its way in a few days!!!

Now we settle in for the loooooooong wait until the last week of December when he'll finally be here! He decided to spend one last christmas with his family and we're getting married here. I think it's a good compromise even if I am crushed that it will be so long before he gets here :( I'm just happy all my family will be at the wedding which is January 23rd (our 3 year anniversary) so it's all worked out well in the end. I'm so happy that this part is over and we can move forward. Just wanted to thank you for all your help with my persistent questions! I think we'd still be trying to figure out how to file if we hadn't found this website!

Much love!

J

Congratulations on your visa success! I knew you guys would be just fine. It's a long wait to finally have him there, but it seems like you guys are doing the right thing

Wooooooooooooooooooow, that sounds like a heck of a trip over. I really hope your fiance is doing well, what with the ER trip and all! Congratulations, though, and as Krili said, at least you're together now :)

As for our case, my fiance is also here now! I've taken a serious break from the internet since he's arrived!! But everything is going really well! We're going to see my pastor tomorrow to work out some marriage details, hopefully.

Thanks! IT is a very long wait, but it is the right thing to do. It's hard, but we both figure since we've made it this long, a few more months is nothing, right? Plus, it's looking like he's going to coming the US on New Year's Eve which will be awesome cause we'll get to ring in the new year together!!!

Congrats, Jessica!

With only three interviews left and looooooots of people who haven't updated, I think the one after keydymenro's interview may be the last, especially if our APs get cleared. :)

It's been really nice having L here, and we've gotten in a sort of routine. I'm picking up enough Portuguese that L keeps laughing when he's on video chat with his family and I'll pipe up about what they're talking about (in English - it's a vast improvement from when I met them last year and barely understood). I can't wait for our wedding in a few weeks.

Being married is the greatest, now that my husband isn't sick! The night of the wedding he came down with flu like symptoms, coughing, body aches, etc. Finally 12 days later he seems to be coming around and feeling more like himself. Now we are waiting very anxiously for our AOS packet to be accepted by USCIS. We mailed it on July 13 after we got our certified marriage certificate but have heard no news. Ugh.

Hey October 2009 filers! How is life these days? Pretty soon, it will be one year since we filed - crazy!

I've been woefully neglectful to VJ lately since everything has been pretty quiet with immigration. Well, until the last couple of days when we found out my fiance STILL hasn't been entered in the system so that we can go ahead and get his SSN. I hope someone at the border/immigration hasn't bungled it up in there.

Any other news these days?

Hi guys! :)

The hurry up and wait game is definitely NOT my favorite!! Hurry up and apply for a K-1 Visa and wait, and wait, and wait. Then get your SO here and wait for a SSN and then apply for AOS and wait. We are through all of those former processes and now are just WAITING for two years to pass so John can apply for legal permanent resident! Wait wait wait!

Actually, we are really enjoying our time together and so thankful that everything has gone smoothly. Had John's AOS interview on Monday and he was approved  . That whole process was very smooth and painless honestly. John was even able to import his car by catching the Port Huron POE supervisor in a bad mood so just to get him out of her hair, she signed the import papers :hehe:

Anyone still waiting for anything around here?

Thanks :) Nope, not the first ... based on all the October filers, Rito has been approved too :) You and lilacvioletiris and a handful of others are the only others that I know of from October that have filed for AOS. It was MUCH easier and stress free than the K-1 - to me at least :)

Hi everyone!

I've been away for so long. Everything has been pretty awesome since we got approved, although, I'm really tired of waiting. I miss him so so much! But we've set a wedding date: January 23rd and he'll be officially getting his plane ticket to come out here this week! I bought my dress a couple of days ago, and it's beautiful! Almost have a venue picked out, and then we can move on to all the fun stuff! So excited to be married!

So that's my update! Working 2 jobs doesn't give a whole lot of time for anything else!

J
