You don't "HAVE" to call NVC. They will send you a hard copy letter saying when they mailed out your package to your consulate. I called just because I wanted to know when they mailed my package so I could "guess when it arrived" based on the dhl.com website. You can wait. No big deal. Then wait for the consulate to contact you with packet 3 (if your consulate has one).

Yeah, there's really no need to call the NVC. But since I can't help it, I DID! LOL!

They told me they shipped my package today. Fortunately, there's only 1 shipped package going to Manila that left the NVC facility today (based on the DHL website) so i'm pretty confident that's mine... regardless, DHL.com will be my favorite website (after VJ, of course) until that package arrives in Manila! LOL!

DHL is pretty quick, so it won't be your favorite website for very long. Maybe 3 days, tops :D All the petitions, etc going to the Manila embassy are in that one pouch you're tracking, so it's not "yours" exclusively, but it most likely has your petition in it ... just as long as it gets there, right?!

Our naturalization timeline
1/12/2015 - Application sent to Phoenix service center by USPS priority mail

1/14/2015 - Package received in Phoenix

1/16/2015 - NOA date (hard copy received 1/22)

1/20/2015 - Check cashed

2/09/2015 - Biometrics

2/11/2015 - In line for interview

3/28/2015 - Hard copy interview notice received

4/29/2015 - Interview at Chicago field office - Approved!!!

Thank you, VisaJourney!!!!!

Yeah we waited about 5 days after the estimated time of arrival to call the NVC just to get the MOS case number (moscow embassy) and it was good that we did they didnt have Yulia's email address so we provided that to them. Once we had the case number we waited another 7 days and emailed the embassy and they replied back with the interview date.

Great list!!!

Kalay based on this list there is 6 of us that haven't received our NOA2s. The same person must have all of our cases in some box. Hopefully we will all get our NOA2s soon. :) POSITIVE THINKING!!!

I think yours NOA2 is coming soon... you have two touch recently.

I have touch on Jan. 6 and nothing show up from then.... it will be hitting 5 months mark on next month.

Looks like i will be the last one to get approve in this forum...

Kalay,

Who knows. Sometimes others have gotten touches but no NOA2. Just keep thinking positive. I still don't have an NOA2 and have had some really weird things happen to my case. I am scared and very worried as well but all I can do is keep positive and hope for the best.

I am planning a visit in April to go see my fiance so it has helped me through this past few weeks. Maybe you two can arrange for a trip or meeting to help you through this time of uncertainity. : /

Called NVC today and they said they received the stuff from USCIS on Friday, but it was still in the "additional processing" stage, whatever that's supposed to mean. Anybody else get that as a status when they called? Seems like this thing just gets delayed and delayed. How annoying!

When I called NVC on Monday (Feb 8) @ 2:30pm PST, they told me my case is still "under review..." I called again on Tuesday (Feb 9) @ 2:45pm PST and they said they just shipped it... I'm sure they'll be shipping yours soon... when did they receive your package?

They received it on Friday. I've been scouring the forums for what "additional processing" means, and I'm feeling a bit worried about it now. Some people have had their cases stuck in limbo for months under this. Others have had it approved within a few days. What a disparity! This wait has been hard enough, and I can't imagine what would be holding up the case now!

I don't know if it helps, but I remember reading that they do another background check at the NVC stage. If either of you have common names, it might take longer.

Problems problems problems... so i got package 3 ten days ago.. but suddenly our co-sponsor changed his mind and dont want to help us anymore... so we need to find another person who will be willing to help us, but it takes some extra time, the same as collect documents for him.. my question is- can i hold packet 3 at home as much as i want ( of course no longer then noa2 is valid) without conatcting embassy and just sent it to embassy when we will be sure that we have all documents ready?! i dont want to send packet 3 now, cuz they will set interviw date sonn and in lithuania usualy it takes few weeks.. so wont it cause any problems for us if i will keep packet 3 at home lets say for 2 months? Thank you very much!!

AFAIK, you have four months from consular receipt to complete packet 3 (though it might be 4 months from getting packet 3).

Is Lithuania a country that will automatically deny your petition without the sponsor, or one of the ones that will say "send us a co-sponsor and your visa will be approved"?
