Couple things....

It all depends on if your in fact have been saving the conversations. If you have, there will be a log saved someplace the you can print. I would say that these documents wont have to be translated because chat logs are not required specifically and there is no real proof that either party is in fact you or your SO.

I Disagree

My chat log files have my hotmail address on them.

One can say the samething about emails but, I'm sure they will ask for them. We sent both email and chat logs and the CO ask to see them as part of the proof.

Emails, chat logs and such are not considered primary evidence and as such they cannot make or break your visa petition. You could walk in with 500 emails and and oak tree worth of chat logs and it will help, but will not be the basis of your approval. I have never submitted a single email or chat log as proof, but I have plenty of phone records, itineraries and boarding passes as proof. If I knew your email address, I could open up Word make it look like we've been chatting all night. They WILL ask for proof, but what they really want is primary proof, and not secondary, "nice to have" stuff like emails.

I think the OP is asking more about his/her on-going relationship and embassy ie for the interview and not the petition they have already filed the I-129f If that’s the case emails and chat log will be a big help in the proof of on-going relationship, at the interview stage. I don't see anything about the petition?

oak tree worth of chat logs and it will help,... Well I thought it was hillarious atleast... but I have a question regarding this. Our interview is in December, and have acquired so much to send as far as proof for the interview. And actually, I think I do have a oak tree of chat logs and emails! BUT... to save money on shipping costs I was thinking of not sending the emails and chat logs. I have about 5 lbs of paperwork I think...and to send that, using usps gauranteed mail willbe about $200.00. So thought about cutting back on those and just not sending them to save money. Can I get some thoughts on this?

I sent 3Lb's lol...

Not sure how the US Embassy is in Morocco! But my experience with our interview was that the CO only looked at our photos, emails/chat logs and cards. I sent one of each, 12 month worth and happy I did just that.

Whatever you figure out, don't file an I-129 petition. For a fiance, it's the I-129F.

In addition, you might like to try the following:

Printscreens of video chat ALT + Prt Scr

That copies a print screet to the clipboard.

Then open a blank WORD document (or any other WP)

and paste the clip into it. Then you can print out the word

document after doing some re-sizing to fit a couple of them

on one page.

We have done a few of these in addition to the chat logs.

Although I also plan to include a handful of chat logs, just wanted to post that I read (sorry I can not locate, as I recall it was one of the basic "how to" government guides or FAQs) that emails are valid evidence of ongoing relationship while chat logs are not. The reasoning was that email has a higher level of credibility over chat logs because the header information is verifiable from the service provider while chat logs show only a screen alias and are not verifiable. Indeed, I can have my Yahoo Messenger screen indicate any name in matter of minutes. After reading this, I changed mine to indicate my given name instead of a screen name, or alias, but anyone else could do the same as well. No idea on Live Messenger or ICQ. Like the other poster said - a text document could readily be created to simulate a chat log... I sought other evidence because of this... So, it's just additional info that will not make or break a case...
