The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Ugh, this is killing me. I sent everything out on September 19th---from South Korea to Vermont, as my "home" is considered PA---and it arrived on the 22nd, and I still haven't heard anything back. I see people getting their NOAs in a few days or a week, and I'm hoping nothing got lost in the mail or sent to the wrong place. Then again, if these kind of delays from overseas are routine, it looks like our hopes for a summer, 2010 wedding will have to be delayed.

Did you sign up to check your status on the USCIS web page? You can find out your NOA1 date there, if your check has been cashed and you can read the case number on the back of the check. I know when I have sent things over your direction it takes three to four weeks to get there if sent regular mail, so I am sure you will be getting it soon.

Please fill in your time line on this site also. You filed a few days before me, so you are probably going to bump me down a notch on Igor's list :) but... then you will also be able to follow everyone else and see when you might be able to expect your NOA2 :)

Sometimes they are super slow getting the cash checked, and NAO1 out the door.

Dont worry Solitary Thrush, it will be fine, and i know what you felt, just keep on monitor about the cheque , if they enchashed already, if they did meaning they received it, and somehow since your kinda far might took more few days for them to receive.

Did you used FEDEX for sending your documents?

Thanks everyone, I'll keep an eye on the check next time. I got an email from my parents last night, and turns out they sent my paperwork to their address because even though I've lived in Korea for 4 years, I had to list their address as my "home." So, I got the NOA1, just wishing they wouldn't send everything to PA since we're here in Korea. Just adds more time waiting for my folks to send stuff to me.

Thanks everyone.

I'm 262. A few days ago I was 293.

I just wish that they would clean up that list. There's one guy on there that actually put his case number in his timeline and when you check it, it's been approved for forever. And a lot of people in the top 30 haven't even logged on in MONTHS.
