First and foremost, my post was not about imposing guilt on anyone!

You have nothing to feel guilty about - especially since the applications seem to be processed in a random pattern and are completely out of our control.

Of course we are happy for anyone who is moving through the process because maybe we will be next!

Sorry if it came out sounding like resentment; that's not the case.

It's all part of the roller coaster I referred to...you know that kind of intimidating one at the park that is only 30 seconds long but seems like hours when you're on it and you sometimes feel like you're going to barf?

I said in my post that I may be taking it out of context and that I was sorry if I was. You obviously didn't mean it the way I took it so, again, I am sorry.

I understand perfectly how all of you feel. Just because I have my NOA2 doesn't mean the waiting is over. All of us still have a long way to go before it's all over and behind us.

Now I have a whole new set of nerves to ponder on and drive myself insane with. Will I meet the 100% income requirement?, if not can I get a sponsor. Will we pass the interview? How long is it going to take for all the appointments and interviews and paperwork going to take.

I think we just all want our spouses home safe and in our arms where they belong, and we are going to end up making ourselves sick with worry and anxiety until they are.

As far as the UK's getting their petitions approved first, I don't know about that. Did you mean the petitioner from UK or the beneficiary from the UK? In my case ,me (the petitioner), is from the US and he (the beneficiary) is from the UK.

I married my British Husband strictly for financial purposes. My heart wrote a check and I cashed it. (L)

Don't listen to my speculating and trying to make sense of any of the randomness of what goes on. I thought adjudicators may only do certain countries, the ones they may be experienced at knowing what certain documents looks like (e.g I wouldn't know what a birth cert or a divorce document looks like from certain countries so I wouldn't be able to tell if they were fake etc...just thought that would be a logical assumption...I do a UK government job here and we have to work along those lines for the sake of identity fraud etc...) but reading the interview with the ex-adjudicator, it seems not. All we know is CSC October people on VJ have had 15 approvals in the past 4 days and VSC - NONE. So, for whatever reason VSC have come to a grinding halt and we are all stuck in limbo land and we've clearly all gone insane with the stress.

And you're now into the next bit, which is no less stressful or anxiety ridden. Please keep letting us know how it's all going for you so we know what we're in for next! I'm cheering you and your Essex boy on! From what I've read, the UK interview seems to be the easiest part of the whole thing (apart from waiting hours in the embassy on the day).

Wishing all my fellow comrades a good weekend x

I'm really thinking that they passed off all of CSC's files to VSC to help them out. Only reason I can think of for why they're just shooting them out like no other while VSC has nothing at all coming out.

Yeh, looks like it, or as other people on here have speculated, they feel they've caught up sufficiently and are going back to work on other visas leaving the K1's for the full 5 month wait, which is the way things were some time back, apparently.

Or, you and I Bacon, with our joint bad luck, are the cause of the jinx! Only joking! You try and have a good weekend, recoup and relax to be fighting fit to face another week of waiting and stressing! x

Yeah, I think that's the same with me. So far this past year eeeeeverything has gone wrong.

Bacon, don't be disheartened, you were touched on 10/23, and from what that article says that means a human being picked up your file and scanned it. So it must have moved from one place to another...maybe on someone's desk just waiting for a simple answer and then they'll give it the big OK stamp. Don't forget to include all the happy little dancing smileys in your Yaa-Hoo post!

I posted my info on a different thread a few months ago but here is my status. I filed on October 20th, the NOA1 was dated for October 26th. Then I got an RFE late December for not checking no on the IMBRA section! Stupid stupid! The RFE was received on 4 JAN and I am waiting. I am stressed because I might be going overseas very soon. I still have the packet to send off when I get NOA 2 and it will not be easy to do all of this in the sandbox. Then there is the problem of being gone for a year...

Hey Charger. Hang in there. Will you have internet access if you deploy? If so you can check the status. Maybe a trusted friend can check the mail and take care of any paperwork. They can scan it and send it to you via email and you can fedex it back for them to send if a signature is required. I undersatnd being deployed but I'm a Computer Tech so I always have access to e-mail and such. It'll work out. 1 day at a time.

Well before March! I still say it's any day for you.

Happy Monday comrades! - are we all ready for another nail biting week? Caveman Robot - hello and welcome to you, but you're a CSC person and if you find the October filers thread for CSC you'll get all the news from their members as to the next stage - but you're totally welcome to hang out with us VSC people on the edge of a nervous breakdown here too.

Today is Martin Luther King day in USA so it's a holiday for most and that will probably include our adjudicators at VSC. Not likely to see any action today then.

Bacon, I'm thinking of you...cos the people who got the only VJ approval last week, NOA1 date later than yours...we're all freaking out with ya. Try not to fret x

oh duh, I didn't notice that Caveman was CSC, but still it's nice to hear that somebody is getting good news. We'll keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow, and the next day, and....in the meantime, say a prayer for the people in Haiti.
