Hey.

I´m not too sure about free email accounts, but if you pay the server that hosts your email, you can contact them and hopefully get it back.

It did happen to me at work a while ago.

Good luck.

Also, make sure you have accidentally dragged the entire folder somewhere else, it is easily done.

Try searching all mail folders for something you know existed.

Have a look in the deleted items, sent items etc folders, you might find it in there.

If you are using Outlook Express it is unlikely your service provider can get them back, but it is worth asking. The minute you create a folder in Outlook Express, any email in there is then kept locally on your PC and not at your service provider end.

Hope this helps, and good luck in finding them.

Asking because I notice on your timeline that you got an RFE. Was the RFE because of IMBRA?? or something else??

What I'm tryin to mostly get at is if the same thing happened to you as someone else on the board. Where they sent the new I-129 form but still got an RFE for IMBRA....

I sent in the new I-129F with anwers to the IMBRA questions. I also sent in certified copies of court records and a typed explanation of each separate case made out to Dear Ania. The reason I did that is because the law is only to inform the beneficiary of your criminal past related to IMBRA. I however did not submit certified Police reports(records) because I am still waiting for that stuff in the mail. I sent it to get in cue. So, to answer your question. Yes, I sent in the new one. However I did not receive the RFE yet so I don't know what they are asking for. I should have that any day now. I have a thread in the IMBRA section for us to post our experience with this situation, it's not getting much use though!!

One of my friends from Japan who went through US immigration brought a small suitcase of evidence with her at her interview. This was pre-9/11. When the consular officer saw the bag, he told her he doesn't want to see any of their evidence... only a couple of emails and pictures were fine.

Yeah...it is my understanding that they want you to HAVE evidence...they don't REALLY want to look at it themselves. ;) Seriously, it is always better to have more then less. And pictures are what they really enjoy looking at...oh...and phone bills.

I sent a lot of evidence about our relationship with the "initial" petition-maybe that is why she didn't feel the need to look through the new stuff.

a few things should be fine!

good luck

If you remember I lost all the e-mails that were in my outlook express that I was saving for the interview. I was worried because I wanted to show communication from the beginning of our relationship. Well, the e-mails are still lost, but I found something else.

I went to the chat history on Skype and was able to print out IM's from as far back as the beginning of the year. Not as far back as I would have liked, but better than nothing. I'm especially happy because it helps to show a relationship before the filing of the petition. I swear the print out is the size of 2 webster dictionary's!!! overwhelming evidence I think is good for a first impression. First impressions are important!!!

Now I have to go through and black out some things
