I just have 2 quick questions.

What happens if you submit I-751 only 30 days before conditional green card expires?

Anyone here had done that?

Anyone here had to postpone Biometrics because you couldn't go.

How long did it take for them to set up a new appt date for bio?

Thx

Many people when doing AOS have just just walked in for biometrics but before the aptmt date and they had no problems. I guess with removal of conditions it should be the same. Try to go before your aptmt.

Good luck!

As long as you file sometime during the 90 day window before the Green Card expires you are fine. The longer you leave it, though, the greater risk you run if there is a problem with the application and they return it to you for re-submission so you don't want to cut it too close. As well, it would be best to ensure you submit it early enough so that you will get the NOA 1 receipt letter extending the validity of the 2 year green card before it expires, just in case you run into any problems with someone questioning status.

If you can't make the scheduled biometrics appointment and you have the appointment letter you can try going in early and do a walk-in appointment. Not all facilities allow this though. You can also send back the appointment letter advising them that you are not available on that date and asking them to reschedule (make a copy of the appointment letter before you return it though). Give them a date after which you would be available.

I had to re-schedule a biometrics appointment for my AOS. The original appointment was December 26th - I received a rescheduled appointment for February 7th.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
