Just glad on one got killed! Accidents do happen, and I am sure this person that broke the rules or law here will be punished accordingly! :innocent:

There is no such thing as an accident involving a loaded gun. It's a "negligent discharge", not an "accidental discharge". Anyone who knows anything about guns knows that you handle them all as if they were loaded. And keep your fingers off the damn trigger unless you plan on shooting something.

Amen....Yet, some don't get that thought.....

Just the word "accident" has very nebulous meanings.

"ac·ci·dent (²k“s¹-d…nt, -dµnt”) n. 1.a. An unexpected, undesirable event: car accidents on icy roads. b. An unforeseen incident: went to college in England by happy accident. 2. Lack of intention; chance: ran into an old friend by accident. 3. Logic. A circumstance or an attribute that is not essential to the nature of something. [Middle English, chance event, from Old French, from Latin accid¶ns, accident-, present participle of accidere, to happen : ad-, ad- + cadere, to fall; see kad- below.]"

Is driving a car on icy roads an accident or an expected outcome? What about meeting your soulmate? Prefer the word fate over accident. Though tend to agree that selecting six lottery numbers that match the balls picked could be considered an accident. Certainly not climbing a tree and depending on a branch to hold you is not an accident if that branch breaks, or even climbing a ladder. One thing I ran into frequently was people connecting battery jumper cables up backwards where a battery can blow up in their face, that is not an accident.

Just feel the word accident is highly misused, stupidity is far more like it.

Just hang him and be done with it. After all, not gun owners, but gun dealers are the lowest scum of the earth. They should all be put to death. They are almost as bad as pro-lifers (and some of them ARE!)

Dumbfuck! First thing you do is clear a weapon, before handling it.

Treat all weapons as loaded.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I'm of the belief that once you load a firearm, you're responsible for whatever happens to it PERIOD. You have a RESPONSIBILITY to unload it, keep it securely on your person, or to keep it loaded and secure in a place where an unauthorized person will not gain access to it. The ONLY time I would hand a loaded gun to someone is on a firing range, AFTER giving proper instructions. When I was a police officer, I wouldn't even hand a loaded gun to my superior.

Imagine what could've happened because of their negligence. Both should be criminally charged, as well as held civilly responsible. Since the owner of the firearm is a dealer, I hold him even more responsible because it's his business. Both of these people give a bad name to responsible firearm owners.
