To our suprise and shock, at 4PM we received 2 messages on the mobile phone from USCIS:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered

Application Type: I131 , APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status: Approval notice sent

:wow:

Less than 8 hours after biometrics we had EAD and AP approval! We were not even home yet. We are so happy.

It does make me wonder about the variations in approval times we have been seeing. I wonder if the approval trigger for EAD and AP are done locally.

Congratz Greg for the super express approval. :dance:

GC Runner : we went to IRS office and get the transcript immediately. good luck on yours.

How long does it take? I think some people said you can go in early.... mine is at 2pm, at the Alexandria, VA office...

Well, since getting approval emails for both AP and EAD on the 10th, I'e had a 2-3 touches on each [11th, 12, and 13th] and I just got a second EAD approved email dated the 16th. Uh, yay? :blink:

Amylou congratz on your bio. It normally take about 10-15min to get the fingerprints and photo taken and some local office allowed you to go early.

On an unrelated note, still no touches on my 485 since Oct 23, the day after my bio. :unsure: But looking at how the EAD and AP went, it'll probably stay untouched until the day it's approved, just to worry me :devil:
