I know that when we go to the interview we will need to show proof of an on going relationship since the time we filed. I've been to Turkey 6 times in the last 1 1/2 years, but it looks like it will be close to impossible for me to get back there before we have an interview ( Unless the process takes us more than 7 months). I travel a lot, in the winter, with my job and just do not see how to fit in a trip inbetween my work traveling.

We will have emails, phone bills, letters and MSN chat logs between filing and the interview, but unless I can find a way to be able to get to Turkey before the interview. We already submitted tons of pics with our I-129F packet, but if we don't have any new pictures to show are we going to be in trouble?

A visit is not the only way to document an ongoing relationship. Have your fiance take the emails, phone bills, etc to interview and don't sweat it.

I agree don't worry about it. If you can make it to the interview it should be super clear sailing. I was at my fiance's interview and they didn't ask to see any of the ongoing relationship.

I am going to be at the interview with him, and we would have lots of other things to show, but I was worried about not having pictures of us together between the time I filed and the time we go to the interview. I have been frantically trying to see if I can get my boss to send other people on some of these trips, so I could go to Turkey for a few days, but maybe I don't need to stress about that so much.

If I'm there with him, and we have other things to show, I guess we would be alright. I was thinking they might wonder why I had maded 6 trips so close together and then no trips at all for almost a year. It's been almost 5 months since my last trip and thinking we will have at least 5 months or more, to wait for the interview. Lots of trips.. then nothing.. thought it might be a red flag.

I think what you have is fantastic. You're able to show multiple trips. It's ok if you can't get back to visit. Show the on-going relationship in other ways, e-mail... phone...

I agree.

I sent in a page of Skype videosnapshots that I took during the summer of her and the little one. She will do the same of some of me and me showing her around the house and yard by using the laptop computer while connected to Skype.

All your evidence, even if seemingly very little, should together, "tell the story" of your relationship.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Records of that many trips plus the pictures you submitted are a BIG plus. Have your mate take some more captioned pictures to the interview even tho you already submitted them.

Jenn I think you have a whole lotta proof with your visits alone...save your tickets and any receipts of anything you did together if you have it, also any chats or phone calls etc, your being with him at the interview is an added plus. I doubt if you will have problems in the proof portion! Me and Hamit only seen each other twice before the interview and our third time ever being together in person was during the interview, so you have a leg up and shouldn't worry!

You'll arrive in Turkey at least a couple of days before the interview, si man? Take some pictures with him then, find a photo store where you can print them out, and take them to the interview -- where you can cheerily claim "These photos are so fresh that they hadn't even fallen off the vine when we took them, si man!"

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
