Hello everyone,

Getting my docs together for three years married. Tell me please for those of you who filed after three years, in addition to tax transcripts, bank statements, etc what did you send along with your package? Utilities statements, pictures, etc? Or do I wait and just bring any additional docs to the interview? Thanks in advance for your help

We sent only what they explicitly requested. As I recall, that was just tax transcripts and the birth certificate of our child. We did not send bank statements, utility bills, photos, etc.

Maybe they were easy on us because of the fact that we had a child together. For whatever reason, they didn't ask for any more proof of a bona fide marriage. Of course, that's not a guarantee about your case, nor is it advice about what I think you should send. It's just an answer to the question you posed.

At the interview, they had a copy of the immigration folder with all previously submitted documents, including the entire I-751 package which we had sent in earlier. We also brought to the interview some more photos and documents showing we'd been sharing our home together. But they didn't ask for that.

I only sent exactly what was listed on the forms - last 3 year's tax transcripts, copies of US citizen's birth certificate, divorce decrees and our marriage certificate, and original court statement about a fine I had in 1982. I brought a folder with additional documents that showed we were still married to the interview, but she didn't want to see anything - not even the originals of what I sent. She had my whole file right from the very first petition we filed in front of her and it was already really large.

I didnt send much with my application but then I was asked for stuff on the interview

I gues my 1 inch thick file wasent properly updated :)

so you can send stuff now or bring it to the intervew

they wont ask for stuff that you alredy submitted with lifting but rather for the other years

so the most recen stuff or the years you skipped before

I was missing 2006 docs in the fle, and the officer asked exactly for those (not the new ones)

Tini27 also had nice document requests on her interview
