that's only an example if you are paying something using your check.

like if your are paying your utility bill (for acct. # 78900001) you can find this at the left side where you gonna sign your signature of your check. writing down your alien number on the check and what form you are filing will make it safer and easier to the uscis which one they will charge on. maybe you can ask your spouse to issue a check on your behalf if you have difficulty in doing so.

OP is hoping to be the beneficiary of a K1 petition. At this point there is no A#. The N400 does not apply to you. Biometrics is also later in your journey to a green card.
