While I'm not quite as obsessed with checking my own case status, I am always curious about numbers/data. So, in my "spare" time at work, I threw together a program that will run out and check case #'s on the USCIS site (Hope I'm not breaking any laws here, but it's no different than manually entering in all the case numbers!)

It's processed with the CasePrefix, in my instance, this is WAC092495, then you give it a beginning and ending case # (I ran it 1-9999). If it gets 20 cases returning "blank" in a row, then it ends processing. In this case, it finished on case# 1935

So, here's a quick breakdown for my "day" for CSC:

For all "Form I-129F":

154 - Initial Review

3 - Document production of Oath Ceremony

1 - Acceptance

1 - Post-Decision Activity

Can throw in the other numbers, or share source code if any of ya'll want to compile and run it. Written in C# (.NET 3.5). It took about 20 minutes or so to crank through the 1,935 cases. :)

I've been checking every 5 minutes all day long. I do this on my days off. I can't stand it. I need to have Mathew just change our password and not give it to me. He doesn't really check it anyway.

I think that's what Mathew is thinking. He just goes about his little day, letting the woman do all the worrying. ;)

I hate to say it, but being the selfish person that I am, I hope no one gets approved with our NOA1 date until we ALL get approved. Like, same day. Otherwise, it'll just drive you and I crazy since we have the exact same timeline. The least USCIS can do is approve our cases together. They know they want to.

Sure thing. I'm still tweaking it a little bit, and I'm a perfectionist... so in a day or two I'll have "official" source code available.

I also keep thinking of changes for it, like I modified it so that after you run through your "day" once, you can have it check just the I-129F cases from your day (Or whatever status/Form you want to check), rather than EVERY application for the day.

I'm just hoping that USCIS doesn't get mad at me for hitting their request form so quickly is such a short amount of time.

Once i get it fully working, I suppose I could have it generate full data over time periods... so we could see data like Igor's list, but as a representation of all the cases at each service center? I love automation! :)
