Just got this email and I rufuse to get excited yet. "On July 11, 2006 the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued." Not sure if I should be ------> or------------------> I hope I didn't mess up on the RFE.

I really hope it is an approval but there are conflicting stories and when the centers sent that message out last year it meant that they required you to do something else. See below.

I just remembered why the wording of this email sounds familiar. When they first mailed my NOa1(in April) to my lawyer, he had moved. It was returned to sender, (Laguna Niguel) and then mailed directly to me with a request that I do an address update. When I checked my ONLINE STATUS I think it said the exact same thing as the email I got today "the document we made....was mailed directly to the person whom issued." I didn't think much of it... I knew the document they were talking about was the NOA1 and I was more concerned with my lawyer moving. Did everyone have this message on their online status after the NOA1 was mailed or only me because it was sent back to service center and then me? So maybe the document is the Noa2. Maybe I will get another email soon.

Some of guys (from another russian forum) with case of CALI CENTER got their change online at the USCIS site:

Current Status:

On July 8, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.

Their NOA1 is 10th of March. RFE sent back on 30th of June, received by CSC on 5th of July, and here you go - on 8th of July they report their NOA2! I think so? I'll let you know when they will receive it by POST mail, cause they called there yesterday and they assured them they sent their NOA2 by their address.

So this is my Noa2 or there was some misunderstanding in that other VJ's story. My lawyer's asistant said I am not approved until they say I am approved. Makes sense. No email saying I was approved but then again... I got this status before, when I received my Noa1. Yes PLEASE let me know if he/she receives their NOA2 by post.

Barry really hope that it is an approval, however have seen a few people get that over the last week and still no NOA2 in the mail for anyone yet.

Previously they have used that statement to signify that they sent something back to the petitioner that didnt fall under the RFE umbrella.

I don't see where everyone is getting confused and why they would think that the following email/case status change would mean they are approved (NOA2).

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

On July 11, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence for information.

[This means that on the 11th of July they received my IMBRA 3 question paperwork which was an RFE, which is fully written out above as "... our request for evidence..."]

However because preliminary processing was complete,

the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in

this message.

[This should tell you right there that you are not approved as they are saying there is still processing time remaining. Tough they are saying it will be less than the stated maximum which I believe is the magic 180 days. Hope no one actually has to wait THAT long.]

You will receive a written decision on this case.

[if the email of status change on the website is confusing wait for the snail mail and then read that. If it doesn't say the words NOA2 or APPROVED then keep waiting.]

You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done.

[Which at last update is still sitting at March 3rd for the date of when apps were received.]
