rfe for I-485

hi all i sent my papers in on June 20th got my NOA's and now i get a RFE for the optional section of the I-864, we were over the poverty line so we didnt send in the optional (part 7) so im going to get these fill out and send very soon so the process can get started again, anyone else have simialr problems, we are over the poverity line but the amount of money in our back account is low at the moment but we do own our home (no mortgage) so hopefully it will be ok!!

Are you saying you listed some '$$$ numbers' in parts of the (optional) Part 7 but didn't include any supporting documents for them? (Or something completely different.)

What does the RFE notice specifically say?

no we didnt send part 7 in!! it said optional so we opted not to!!

But the RFE notice is specifically asking you to complete the section? (That is very odd.)

i think what he is saying, they didn't send those pages in, so the packet was incomplete. for example, it went like pg.1,2,3,4,7,8 - no 5 and 6

just resend the whole i-864, with all the pages, leaving the optional ones blank.

Oops we didn't fill Part 7 neither on sponsor's I-864 nor joint-sponsor's I-864

Although it does say on the intructions : Only complete this Part if you need to use the value of assetsto meet the income requirements. If your Total Household Income is equal to or more thanneeded to meet the income requirement as shown by the current Poverty Guidelines for your householdsize, you do not need to complete this Part.

thats what we did we sent every page in except the part 7 because we believed we meet the requirements not to send part 7 in, they sent us a copy of the page we need to fill in so do i do a complete new set of pages or just fill in the one they sent us??

Yes though it is optional to fill it out you still needed to send the complete package. We had about 400 in the bank when we did ours sent it in with that amount. Just complete it with zeros if you need to, but send all pages

ahh ok thanks for that, i guess we will wait til friday when hubby gets paid so his bank account looks better lol so i will just do the whole thing again and send it back. hope this is the only RFE we get!!!
