I can feel your sadness. Waited almost 8 months for the visa, got married and been waiting now for 14 months for the damn deployment to get over so we can be a normal family finally. Seems like the waiting never ends. Damn! where is my vodka? Its sunday afternoon. I can afford to get drunk :angry:

I was born depressed. I can relate to the sadness , too.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

05-11-2009: NOA1

05-20-2009: called the Military Help Line and requested for expedite

06-04-2009: NOA2

06-14-2009: NVC letter received in the mail

07-02-2009: Packet 4 received

08-27-2009: Interview - Visa approved!

09-03-2009: visa in hands.

09-20-2009: POE - Miami

09-21-2009: we got married!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Are you waiting for the USCIS to get off it's a$$, that was a long year, but we never let 3 months go by without seeing each other. Spent that year redecorating my home trading lot's of photos with my wife to be, picked out a new car for her, exercise equipment, furniture, and the web cam. That time did pass.

In regards to depression, every year the day after Christmas, property taxes are due and that long period of those IRS forms, never ending, but we did finally get the USCIS off our backs. Can't believe how quickly time passes even when you are having fun or not.

One thing, is a test to learn if both of you can hang in there and not either of you start looking elsewhere.
