I-134 - Mistake made

my lawyer prepared it (Typed) by I-134 and I sent it to my fiance. She noticed that there was a slight mistake on it (city/state were wrong).

Is it okay for my fiance to white out the mistake and type/write over it?

If it were me I would - but I wouldn't use white-out, rather simply mark a line through the incorrect response and write the correct one just above/below.

(Of course you could also quickly type up a new one - sign it and send it to her - mail, scan-email, etc)

Bad idea. A copy would not contain an original signature. Lining out is best, if possible but white-out is ok too.

ya - thats what i think also. whiteing it out and typing/writting over it will be fine. its not like its a birth certificate or some 'original' document that i cannot tamper with.

there are also bar codes on the document i think - so copying would 1) maybe damange the barcode and 2) void my originial signautre.

You can probably go with whitening or overriding

either ways, depending on what is cleaner / easier to read

the information is not critical as long as the right one

just for the final thinkg have copies/scans made / kept as a reference.

could you not simply have sent yourself?

I did send myself my applicant doc and the I864 my husband had filled / signed.

I understood the question was regarding the I-134, which must bear an original signature, as it is signed under penalty of perjury.

YES. Draw a single line through the error and correct it OR use white out and erase it. It is important the information be accurate, not that it is corrected. Corrections are preferred to mistakes.
