We are worried. You were not the first to comment as usual.

For the passport, only your face page and then stamps is necessary to copy in color. The blank pages are fine in Black and white. The color copies are so much more expensive. Also, save ATM receipts, and engagement ring receipt. Save cell phone load cards. Just taking pics is not enough. Make sure you are smiling and showing loving things that couples do, not just standing like statues holding a newspaper.

Best wishes in your Visa Journey!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Take photos of you and her together from DAY 1 of your stay. As many as you can. Also if you meet her family, get photos of you with them. In front of Landmarks. If you are only there for a short time, change your shirts and take photos of you and her together, I had several good photos but we had the same clothes on in a few. It all worked out.

Copies of the inside of your passport showing the entry and exit stamps and also your ID page. Keep and copy your hotel receipts. If she meets you at the hotel and stays with you. Have the hotel make the receipts out to you AND her.

The one thing that I did that was different was that we flew from Manila up to Baguio on Asian Spirit. This created 2 tickets with our names on each one, 2 boarding passes with our names on them. That in itself drove the fact home I was there to meet Naty.

If you buy her any small gifts, keep the receipts.

NOW, my best piece of advice. Does she have her own computer? No? DROP THE COIN and buy her a laptop and a camera and bring it to her especially if she has Internet available to her area. You will be able to communicate with her everyday. She will appreciate not having to go to the Internet cafe and the camera? She will be able to take photos of her family and friends and events that occur as she prepares to come here.

These 2 gifts has made our life over the internet so much more comfortable.

Get the passport and money pouch that goes around your neck. Keep your ID, passport and money inside of that. You will love the Philippines and the people there. Be safe and good luck on your journey.

Comments : She recived the first notice from Manila on Valentines day. Perfect timing.

The first setback came during the medical. Naty had to do the 3 day sputum and then we waited 2 months for the results. YESSSS>came back negative

Went for her interview on July 16th and received her Pink Slip......Finally. Paid the AIR21 and I expect her here August 10th, 2009. Marriage will be August 21st, exactly 4 years to the day that we first met.

Proof yet met? Really all you need is one photo together, and, some proof you were in PI in last two years... That will get your petition approved.. The real documentation

burden is to prove the bonafide relationship between that point and the interview,

Good Luck,

E-tickets and hotel reszevations are not evidence of travel. You will need ...

1. BOARDING PASSES (send copies, not originals) other travel documents are not proof of travel

2. HOTEL RECEIPTS for payment. Ask for a printed copy. If possible list BOTH your name and fiancees name (but this is not necessary)

3. PASSPORT STAMPS for entry and exit from the country

4. PHOTOS the more the merrier

That should do it.

Itinerieries and emails are NOT proof of meeting or proof of travel. If you wish to submit them as proof of a relationship that is fine, but for the petition you need to prove you met in person. emaisl porove the opposite. Itineraries only prove you asked about tickets, or paid for tickets...boarding passes prove you got on the airplane.

If you make any other side trips that produce a receipt with your name(s) on it, you can use that also. Boarding passes, passport stamps and photos will do the trick, hotel receipt is a bonus.

i have a question that is also about proof.....i havent fount anything yet.but thought i would ask in this thread....i havent been able to go to the phils.do to some family financial problems.to make along story short.i have been talking to my fiance for the past 2 and a half years.originally i was to go there and bring her back here either thru k1 or k3 visa depending on how we felt when i get there.i would like to know if i was to file for the k1 without physically meeting her.but having letters, packages, emails, chats and things like that of proof of our relationship.would that be enough to get her here?or my only choice is to actually meet her and show proof we met?please try not to be so brutal.thanks

Sorry..but you will have to meet her atleast once. Sell everything you have if that's what it takes to make the trip. If you love her that much it will certainly be worth it. Good luck to you. Mike

when you go there take lots of pics, but also get the required 2X2 pics of both of you while your there. 12 of her and 3 of you. Just my opinion.

NO You MUST actually meet in person and provide primary and secondary evidence of this. The meeting MUST have occured within the last 2 years and it must be before you file the petition
