Hello, my name is Joseph. My fiancee's name is Ana. I just sent my filing today.

I am 26 years old, and Ana is 24. I am from Michigan USA, and she is from Bohol, Philippines. We met through the internet of course, and I flew off to meet her about 4 months later. I never expected to find myself in the Philippines, but there i was, and completely in love. I asked her to marry me after about a week of being there.

I know you all know how i feel, but I can't wait to get her here so we can be together. I will be returning to the Philippines over my Christmas break (it seems so far away) to visit her again.

Hopefully later tonight i can put a photo in my profile.

Thanks a lot for this site!

Joe

Hi Joe. Welcome to VJ. There are a lot of great people here that are always willing to help you thru this often long and tedious process. I certainly know how you feel. I just got my fiance and daughter here last week July 17th. It took 11 months and 26 days from start to finish. Have you filed yet? If so keep your timeline updated. It will help you as well as other members to answer any questions you may have. I am certainly no expert by any means but there are alot of people in this community that can offer a wealth of knowledge. If there is anything i can do to help you feel free to pm me anytime. Good luck Joe. I wish you and your fiance Ana the best and a smooth Visa Journey. Mike

Hello and welcome!

:guides: - they will help you in your journey.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

thank you for the replies and offers of help. I can't tell you how much it means.

While i would welcome Ana getting her visa by year's end, I know I have to be realistic and prepare for the long haul. I do have a lawyer helping me, but they are no miracle worker's either.

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Hi again everyone. I added a picture of Ana and I.. I'm not really wearing the sunglasses, but i thought it would be funny to put them in.

Also an update on our filing status. Our 129 should be received by USCIS on Monday. Hooray... One step closer...
