I am no expert, and my fiance has not undergone the medical there yet, but I doubt that any issues with your teeth will be an issue. She had a retainer taken out which caused two of her rear teeth to be removed. They are most likely looking for any diseases, or health risks that can cause issues to US Citizens. I have not read up on it, nor do I know anything about the medical yet, but I seriously doubt if you have a medical issue (High Blood Pressure for example) or any other conditions that you will be denied unless it causes a health risk to US Citizens.

dental care is very expensive in the US, you should have it done before you leave there.....

I agree. Dental health will not be looked at by immigration (they are looking for

communicable diseases only) but if you can, get dental work done (recommending

for Thailand, seconding Philippines).

hi my us fiance visa is on process. i have a big problem with my molar teeth. for women in the philippines undergone the medical, will this be a problem? i'm wondering if i should have it fix before the medical. please help!

They only care about health problems that could become a public concern at the medical exam. Like some have said, usually medical and dental care is cheaper outside the US, so if this is something you are going to get fixed, you might want to do it in your home country.

I suggest you fix it there before the medical appointment. May you a quick recovery in case you decide to fix it.

It is not an issue for the medical exam.

If you can get the work you need done there...by all means do so. Dental work in the USA is expensive. Even though we have dental insurance, and paying a bribe to actually get to see a dentist in a country with "free healthcare for all", it was far cheaper for her to get her dental work done while on vacation this summer in Ukraine. She also stocked up on a year's supply of contact lenses for about 1/10th the price they are here.

Compare some prices and decide where you will have the work done.

Unless your tooth can spread infectious pathogens I think you'll be ok.

they wouldn't even look at your teeth. the doctor who examined me just asked and i had 3 tooth extractions already. so your teeth condition wouldn't be a problem.

Are we talking cavities? To the best of my knowledge that is not a concern for immigration. If their bothering you however and care is available than you should get them done.

First Off, your a human being, not a horse. Your teeth have ZERO bearing on your medical. Also as others have said, getting your teeth fixed there is more wise then here. I know that people travel to the Southern Cross hotel in Manila from around the world as they have some kind of dental service they are associated with. Good Luck.

Comments : She recived the first notice from Manila on Valentines day. Perfect timing.

The first setback came during the medical. Naty had to do the 3 day sputum and then we waited 2 months for the results. YESSSS>came back negative

Went for her interview on July 16th and received her Pink Slip......Finally. Paid the AIR21 and I expect her here August 10th, 2009. Marriage will be August 21st, exactly 4 years to the day that we first met.

As long as you are not a carrier of a communicable disease that will pose threat to US, then your safe. That wouldn't be a ground for VISA denial.

Now if you want your teeth fixed, then you can have it done in the Philippines. I had braces, and 3 dental implants here (US) and it cost us not less than $18,000.00 Dental Insurance doesn't cover a penny as according to them, dental braces and implants are not medically necessary.

Goodluck.
