We had the AOS interview today and it went without a hitch. In fact we got back home and saw a "card production ordered" mail in our inbox. That was fast ! I have to say that the post-POE process went very smoothly and quickly - as if to make up for all the waiting we had to endure for the K3. Wifey should hopefully get her GC in the mail in a week or two and then we will be done with USCIS for the next 2 years.

06/12/09 - POE at Newark (K3)

07/01/09 - I-485 and I-765 mailed

07/06/09 - USCIS received (date on NOA1)

07/13/09 - NOA1 received for both I-485 and I-765 !

08/08/09 - Biometric appointment

08/25/09 - AOS interview letter notice date

09/24/09 - AOS interview

10/03/09 - Received GC !!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hello everyone :)

Hubby got the EAD card and filed for a SS# today. Hopefully all goes smoothly from here on out. Can't wait to see how long the AOS takes

We're getting ready to take a trip out to visit the hubster's family next week. (Some more family that I haven't met yet). I'm dreading the flight (26 hours in coach...someone knock me out with some anesthesia and wake me when we get there, please  ). I hope that I don't get sick and that the weather is decent. I hope to take lots of pictures and will give you an update when I get back. It should be interesting, to say the least. In the meantime, I've been trying on and modeling some Islamic outfits  I think I've come up with some pretty ideas. I will take pics and you all can be the judge

Hope everyone is doing well. I miss you guys! I will try and meet online with you when I get back and fill you in on everything that's happening.

Have you guys seen this new layout? I went on to check something for someone on another post and ........

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

now along with the processing times it has a "national goal". I just found it interesting.
