Remembering Victims of the 7/7 London Bombings

As I sit here miles from London, I feel like I should be there grieving for all the people who lost their lives, and the people who were affected on that tragic day.

I can't believe a year has passed already. Like so many, I sat mesmorised watching the heroics of so many people and hearing stories of such bravery.

Thinking of you all, wherever you are.

So many people, especially here in the states concentrate so much on 9/11... it's good to remember that terrorism takes lives in other parts of the world too.

I remember being so afraid that my fiance(was my boyfriend at the time) was maybe involved in it. I was so relivd that he was safe... but so many others were affected. My heart goes to the families of the vistims of this attack.

I hope in this year they've been able to find some peace.

Having seen it first hand from all sides; Nairobi (US Embassy) , Jakarta (bars - Bali), Jakarta (Hotel-Hilton), Jakarta (Australian Embassy), Jakarta (Bali Bars-again), I can empathize with the senseless loss of life.

My sympathy and respect goes out to the British people on this day, and every day, that terrorism happens.

..and I missed being on one of the same lines, at the same time, cos I was sick - so I thank my lucky stars I was sick that day and didnt't travel. I can't tell you how I felt when I heard about what had happened; disbelief first and foremost; then anger.

Terrorists will never win here because we are not afraid. We weren't then, we aren't now, and we won't be in the future.

I remember exactly what was going on that day!

My fiance boyfriend at the time as well was here...

We spent time wondering about friend we knew would be close to there.

My thoughts are there for the families and friends who lost loved ones...

and for the brave men and women who fight to save them. All over the world...
