Ohhh they only allowed me for 16 days in advance , because I brought a medical schedule ( pre-op , surgery , post-op ) signed by my doctor & medical insurance co. for that first week of Oct. that make me unavailable on my Oct. 09 fingerprint schedule. :blush:

11-04-06 - 2 NOA's transfer to CSC

11-17-06 - "K1 APPROVED AOS" no interview

Just called USCIS and they said they mailed out my interview letter today. Interview is on Nov 10 in Manhattan. Also perfectly fitting my (busy) travel schedule. :)

Yes, it just changed this morning at 5:45am (got the email).

Case sent for standard interview.

Customer service told me they sent the yellow letter at the end of August but I never got it (I was out of the country for 2 weeks and maybe it's still in the pile of mail).

Just called USCIS and they said they mailed out my interview letter today. Interview is on Nov 10 in Manhattan. Also perfectly fitting my (busy) travel schedule. :)

your states online was change or not i recived yallow latter a month ago saying to bring the DL i just call and the saying they did send my file to NY and is in Q for interview NY for n-400 is to slowe

Yes, it just changed this morning at 5:45am (got the email).

Case sent for standard interview.

Customer service told me they sent the yellow letter at the end of August but I never got it (I was out of the country for 2 weeks and maybe it's still in the pile of mail).

K-1 = 4 months

AOS = 5 months

I-751 = almost one year

I passed!!! well.. passed the test at least - it said that my application has been recommended for approval - so I guess it's not official yet until Oath?

I totally messed up and I forgot the appointment letter! But the nice lady printed me another one. I dont know how I forgot that, after checking and re-checking...

The officer didnt ask for anything else..he was just checking my application. He asked if I have any tickets - and I asked if he meant like speeding ticket and he said yes, so I told him about it.

Then he asked if I support US government and constitution and I said I guess so (which I should said Yes.. but he deosnt seemed to mind)

Then he commented on how good my english is then we started the test... it went well - I got one wrong (always got this one wrong while study too so...) When was the constitution written.. it's 1787 - I said 1785 :blush: I know I'd get this one wrong so :whistle: but I got everything else.

Some how Durham office stopped given the Oath letter after the interview (and he doesnt know why either) so I'll have to wait for the letter in a cupple weeks. but YEYEYEYEYEYE :dance::dance::dance:

All this took about 25 minutes :)

will update on my Oath day later!

Congratulations anya -D, i have a speeding ticket but i have not mentioned about it during my filing , i choose No for that Questions. Now starting to worry if they think i lied :crying: That was one stupid question whch was not asked stright forward, anyways I am glad that your Journey was almost Over. :dance::dance:

I have a question. I received my green card through marraige. But I am applying for citizenship after 5 years of permanent residence.

Do I still have to apply for citizenship through marriage or can I apply for citizenship by the fact that I have been a resident for 5 years?

Yes, You qualify to apply for both(I am assuming you are still in relationship and you can provide necessary documentation) lest apply based on 5 Years
