in this case there is a story behind the couple, besides why would somebody want to be friends with an X, I would accept it if the relationship was just not working and one day both equally decided to part ways but if the break up was full of drama and sh!t? no way I would. If this is directed at me, I said that it would depend on the circumstances if one should/could attempt a friendship. However, to suggest that any man who was asked to be 'just good friends' would simply do so on the basis that they could get in the friends knickers is absolutely puerile and just another attempt to portray men as slaves to the ####### which is pathetic.

This is an interesting topic.

My ex husband and I remain good friends. In fact, due to economic reasons, we still live in the same house, different rooms of course, but we get along well. He's even met my fiance. And yes, before you even ask, lol, my fiance knows all about my living situation. I think it is not necessary to become hostile to someone you were once in love with. We still share adult children and of course I do still care about him, but more in a brotherly way than any other way. Is there any booty calls between us? DEFINATELY NOT. Like I said, we have more of a brother/sister relationship now. It takes a certain level of maturity and determination to not let things get ugly and to be able to remain friendly or friends with your ex.

No normal man would want to be friends with an ex lover. If it is the case I think the man has issues. One issue would be wanting to get in the friends knickers.

I think you have issues, or maybe all you can think about is getting into anyone's knickers... My husband is really good friends with his ex-girlfriend. She is a sweetie pie. I am friends with a couple of ex-boyfriends. No freaking big deal.
