I am back from Cairo, bitter sweet leaving. I did not want to leave him, but missed my kids terribly. I wanted to pack him into my suitcase and bring him with me, good thing I didnt, since my luggage is NOWHERE to be found!

I had a great time, although it was hot, it is just as hot here, just I have AC in my car and central air in my house. LOL I never saw any mosquitos, glad about that, but the flies, uggg. LOL

Has the airline ever lost any of your luggage? Was it ever found?

Welcome back!! Can't escape the heat, huh? Did you have air in Cairo? Is it less humid there?

Too bad about the luggage. Hopefully the airline is on that and you will have it back soon! I have never had that experience..

Welcome back! So happy you had a good time!

Had my luggage lost once on a British Airways flight from Cairo to Los Angeles. They did

manage to find it and returned it within 24 hrs.

Good luck and again welcome back!!

Welcome back babes!!

I need to hear all the details sometime this week :P We can catch up online. I have had my luggage lost ... Uggghh..as Jeanne said, with 24 to 48 hours in the states I typically got it back....I only had issues when I lost my luggage overseas that it took a year and a day to find it!

the only time i ever had luggage issues was when i had to have my bags taken off the plane and hand-inspected in Amsterdam when i was on my way back from Egypt the first time. that happened BOTH times i was returning from Egypt through Amsterdam... carry-on and checked luggage hand-inspected, and practically strip searched. good times.

(this time around i am NOT flying through Amsterdam. beginning to think their security has issues with Muslims.)

WB, had my luggage lost many times, one time I was to fly to Germany to LIVE, and when I got to New York, from San Francisco, they had lost my luggage, and I had a plane to catch to Germany, they did find it and sent it on it's way, and it was only a few days. Amsterdam, I freaking love that place, for me France is my nightmare, been pulled out of the line by 7 undercover french police, I thought I would be a guest for a while in France, not my fav place, but they have great health care.

I find when you switch carriers is when the luggage gets lost. This time I stayed with the same carrier the whole way, Delta, and my luggage made it just fine with tight connections even.
