I would do it. I used to be pretty big when i was a kid, however I am 20 now, and in the last few years I have lost just over 80 lbs and so yes I know what being big is like.

However on my recent trip back from visiting my fiancee in the USA I had to sit next to an overweight couple. In fact they were both given seat belt extensions.

This meant that the guy took up half of my seat, and sadly the flight was fully booked. Due to how I was forced to sit at a strange angle, I now have a stiff neck. It really has pissed me off.

So yes, I either vote for this, or vote that the very large should pay for two seats if their sides and arms cant keep in their own area that they paid for.

What would happen if all the airlines competed for the skinny people though? Would the fatties get a chance to fly at all? Would there be a 'fat people only' comfort airline, expensive but with huge chairs and gourmet meals?

I think what eve says people money they will go extra mile to get that deal. A proof of it as we all know is "Black Friday". You folks who have been there must have seen how folks go crazy once the stores open their doors.

Yeah, good point. SkinnyAir would have to make an exception for pregnant women, that's just only fair. But then again, it goes totally against the pay per pound idea.

But I don't think SkinnyAir would have smaller seats (I agree Nessa, I'm really skinny and the seats are already a but small). SkinnyAir would keep the same size seats we have now, just change you more if you have extra weight.....
