Timeline

also, you have biometrics first, before card approval...so that's the next thing you should receive in the mail, your biometrics notice.

Probably around 60 days without an RFE's maybe less. Ours took 67 days, but we got an RFE. So you might be able to get it in 6 weeks provided USCIS moves at the speed they are currently going at.

Meet on ICQ: 1999

Meet in person: Dec. 2005

O1 visa approved for Jay: Sept. 2006

Both move to CA: Sept. 2006

Jay proposed: Feb. 2007

Married: 07/11/2008

Mailed AOS 04/06/2009

Package received 04/07/2009

Checks cashed 04/13/2009

NOAs received for I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765 dated April 13, 2009

Biometric 1-485 & I-765 scheduled April 29, 2009 letter dated April 15, 2009 (8 days from filing!)

Biometric done 04/29/2009

EAD and AP touched 05/08/2009

I-485 waiting for letter requesting initial evidence 05/08/2009

RFE received for 864 requesting 2008 tax return 05/15/2009

Mailed RFE letter 05/16/2009

RFE response received and case resumed processing (or more waiting) 05/21/09

EAD & AP card production ordered 06/12/09

Received AP 06/17/09

Received EAD 6/22/09

Interveiw date 07/28/2009

Past 90 days here... I had to call and bug USCIS before I got my EAD. Now that I have my EAD, I have been unable to land a job in this shitty economy. So, my thoughts to you is to stop worrying about it :unsure: Now if I can just follow my own advise..

How long on average does it take to receive the EAD employment card? Received NOA1 yesterday.

Mine took 46 days and I had a RFE.

AOS Timeline

10 Jan 09- Entered US under VWP

28 Mar 09- Married

6 Apr 09- Sent AOS paperwork to Chicago Lockbox

8 Apr 09- Received by USCIS

15 & 16 Apr 09- Checks cashed

19 Apr 09- NOA's received

30 Apr 09- RFE received

5 May 09- RFE documents returned to USCIS

7 May 09- RFE documents received at USCIS

14 May 09- Biometrics appointment

15 May 09- EAD Card Production Ordered (apparantly!)

15 May 09- AP Approval Notice Sent

18 May 09- EAD & AP Touched

20 May 09- EAD Card Production Ordered. Again!

21 May 09- EAD Touched

22 May 09- EAD Approval Notice Sent

26 May 09- EAD Card Received!! 48 Days from original papers being received!

25 June 09- AP Received

26 June 09- Interview date set for 13th August

we applied AOS last May 20. Had my walk in biometrics last June 2.

i received an approval email dated June 20 24 and i received the actual employment authorization card yesterday, June 27. :)

accoring to my timeline status, EAd was approved in 37 days.
