You are lonely and desperate cuz your case seems to drag on endlessly. Dont despair.

Keep hanging on, and know you will be together soon, with the one you love. You cant end your life cuz you already promised it to your true love. Think of the hardest thing you ever did in your life, and know you can do it again. The pain you feel right now is just temporary.

Just bide your time for now. Visualize happier days with your true love. Try to help someone who is less fortunate than you, and this will make you feel better. You will make it thru the current pain, like so many of us who feel the same, missing the one we love. Good Luck.

As I told my wife when we went through that, if this country won't accept her, we will find one that will accept both of us. Talking to family and friends is useless, don't know the first thing about immigration, but do talk to your spouse.

You are going through a lot of stress with this, it's not so much the waiting but the uncertainty that comes with it - we understand.

All that matters to you (and us for that matter) is being reunited with y/our loved one/s - but you need to try and occupy your time with other things (easier said than done I know) or your health will deteriorate.

The sun always rises, don't do anything to prevent yourself achieving your goal - there is always a way to overcome problems.

We're here when you need us, it's going to be okay.

There are alot of caring people here to talk to...sometimes just writing/typing it all out feels better. Vent away and we'll listen.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

People that haven't gone through the immigration process might be great friends, but they may not understand the situation you're in. Why not try to spend time with friends and discuss things other than immigration? Get away for a few hours and forget about this process. Catch a movie and try to get your mind off things.

If you need a place to vent and spend your time in the company of people who will not judge you or tell you to stop complaining, come join us in our K3 family hangout.

Lot's of pictures, was redecorating my home for my wife and getting her suggestions, better yet, following her suggestions. Even purchased a new car for her, with photos as she couldn't bring her beloved car here. Was talking about this yesterday to my wife about those days, she kind of misses our 2-3 hour phone calls. Said, nothing stopping us from doing that now. Those were long days for both of us.

Thank you all so very very very much for all your words of support, comfort and encouragement. Seems I was correct in coming back here for someone to talk to.

Everyone here REALLY does understand! thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I am feeling a little better thanks to you and especially to an Angel sent to me last night while I was in the midst of it all! Thank you fellow VJ Sara! you came on instant messenger with me and listened and listened and listened and commented only with words of understanding and most of all encouragement! God bless you.

I do want to clear something up... I was so upset last night and my header on the post was misleading. I was not going to commit suicide (although it did indeed sound better than feeling this). I meant that I was afraid to call the suicide prevention hotline for someone to talk to because I was so desperate. (I was afraid because I wondered if they would trace the call and send the police or someone over to check on me) Sorry for causing any worry.

Lastly, As many many people here, I too do indeed know how fustrating, lonely, and painful these waits and papers can be... It will be four years for us this September that we began our journey with immigration. Although this has been long and painful at times... the waiting was not the cause of my anguish and pain last nite. I will explain later after I respond to all the great fellow VJers who contacted me.

God bless you all and guide you with patience, understanding, deep true love and committment thru it all.. and hold on tight because there are no promises and you never know what the outcome will be.

Thank you all again!!

I'm so very sorry for your long wait , and pray that soon you can be with your husband.

And I'm so angry with the system !! They say their is no time limit on AP. Why can't we protest to this and ask for a time cut off , for example 1 year for them to do what ever it is they do. I can not get it my head why it could take over that. Maybe I'm thick in the head. My husband has a cousin that came to US in July of "08" on a work visa , which only took around 2 months to get, after getting here he applied for his wife to come. And she made it here that Nov. He is not a US citizen nor a green card holder !!! Where are our rights !!!! We are US citizens. If US is worried about safety, how did they get here so quickly without being investigated ?

WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS ? :protest:
