Of course you are feeling sad - it is so natural. You are leaving your country and your family behind to travel many thousands of miles to be with the man you love. This is a major, major change in your life - and of course, you are feeling happy knowing that soon you will be with the man you love. The next few months you will find yourself going through these same emotions over and over again - it is very normal. Be strong, know that you are able to take this brave step and that you will always have your friends and family - even if they are far away - nothing will ever change that. You are creating a new life for yourself and these are its birth pains. And like with the birth of a baby, may these tears lead to more joy than sadness as you enter into your new life in the US. Good luck to you- and safe travel.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

It's perfectly normal for you to feel this way, Babykim. As Kathryn said, you are leaving your home and family, but remember that your family is about to grow bigger! Hopefully you and your husband will be able to travel back and visit your family before too long!

Don't worry if you feel sad or frustrated after you move. You can't be expected to make such a major life change without feeling something like this. Much luck and many blessings on your new journey!

Exactly! I can only imagine how you feel right now, but very soon I, too, will be going through the same set of emotions. It's one thing that I had mentioned to Tim, way back in October when he first asked me to marry him, that I knew we were going to have an emotional rollercoaster from time to time. I told him that sometimes, I will cry and miss home, but to remember, that although I'm leaving something I love very much, I'm also entering into something I love very much.

Keep posting about your adventures. Be strong, but don't hesitate to let those tears flow. You are going forward into a brand new life. Celebrate it!

Have a safe flight

don't worry about being homesick, it is normal, my fiancee arrived last week and the first day she came to my house she cried because she missed her parents, but the next day she got better, and now the technology you can be connected to your family very easy.

Good luck to your future!!
