For the 1st one it refers to both your husband (the sponsor) and his parents (the co-sponsor). They BOTH must include evidence of current income.

The 2nd refers to you, the immigrant/person being sponsored. You can include your income only if it was lawful. For example if you were here on a work visa, married, then filled for AOS with your hubby. If you came on a K1 you are not authorized to work and it does not apply to you. Depends on your situation. :time:

ok the first one is for my husband and his parents so I can give the proof for his parents as their job are going to continue but my husband is self employed so he is not going to fired himself lol

what should I send for the self employment ???

and the second if it's for me I was a visitor I didn't work we just put my husband in the I-864 so I should write a letter and explainj that we didn't put my income in the paper again and send them a birth certificate of him ?

I didn't put my income in the paper since the beginning because I was the student until here !!!

hope I can figure it out !!!

thanks

I just read again the second request , they speak about the household member I-864 and household member spondor I-864A

I have nowhere in theses papers when we sent it it was my husband I-864 and his parents in the I-864A!

so do you really think they are speaking about me , the immigrant ?

Did your husband send his tax transcripts in the first time? Did your parents? Are you living with his parents?

Self-employment would send tax transcripts showing income and a letter stating the self-employement.

It's not for you probably, intending immigrants are not expected to sponsor themselves.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

This is a request for initial evidence meaning that it should have been sent along with the forms. The parent failed to include this information with the I-864A

Box 1 is asking about the household member who is the co-sponsor. It is looking for proof of the current income being claimed. Typically that proof is a letter from the employer stating job position, salary, prospects for continuing in that position, etc. Also, they want to see recent paystubs for the parent's income. See the example info listed in the paragraph.

Box 2 is asking for proof that the household member (parent) is legally able to work in the US. Examples are given as well. (copy of passport bio page, US birth certificate, etc.)

hi,

With the first bench of papers we send my husband tax transcripts for the last 3 years but because he was a student and so not alot of income we add his parents as household member sponsor ( we live with them right now) and so we send theirs tax transcripts for the past 3 years as well !

I didn't put my incomes because I don't have any jobs in usa I'm not allowed to! so like you I was thinking that was for my husband and his parents , thanks for your answers !!!

Your husband needs to submit one I-864 as he did.

But your inlaws should have submitted ANOTHER I-864 as cosponsors. Did they?

hi,

We send the I-864 for my husband and 2 separated I-864 A for his parents !

for each of them we send the tax transcripts which we thought would be enough to prove that they have a job !

but I guess they want more proofs with the pay stubs and contract of employment maybe to check if they are able to maintain theirs jobs !!!

thanks

Everyone has given good advice. I would get employment letters for your husband and the cosponsor stating how much they make a year, how many hours a week they work, and how long they have held the current job.

That's what we sent with our AOS.

Good luck.

Tax transcripts do not show proof that you have a current job. It is an historical document.

Your RIS is also asking for proof that your co-sponsor is legally able to work in the US. Don't forget to send that information as well.
