Tell me about it! No sooner do our feet hit the ground, I'm settled in a job, he's doing well with his business-we're off again!

I can't complain, though. It does keep life interesting, and I love his Irish family to absolute bits. A lot of the photos in my portfolio were taken on the *one* sunny day we had when we were over there last year!

Shon, I think I made it pretty adequately clear that A: no, I don't feel a little ashamed, not one bit and B: the only person whose opinion in this that matters is my husband's. I do my best to remain civil; but when someone drags the subject up, and then continues to berate me for it, then of course I'm going to get angry. I don't always agree with you, but I certainly respect your right to have an opinion and to live your life the way you want, now don't I? You yourself have been the subject of people questioning the way you live your life, being on husband number whatever and meeting men from the Middle East-do you like it very much when people attack you for that? No. You get up in arms, too. I've seen it. I live my life, and have always done, the way I am comfortable with doing. I don't expect the world to be comfortable with that, either, but neither do I expect to be attacked for it, regardless of what the other person may believe. I don't think I offered too much information under the circumstances. Yes, I did porn, it paid for college, it's not a secret, my family knows, and someday my kids will know too. It's a part of my life, it still pays the bills, and I long since have come to terms with the fact that some people don't approve. That's their right. What I can-and do-expect-is for them to give me the same right, even if we agree to disagree.

I dont regret my past. about my past marriages has nothing to do with you its my business. the only people I had to explain it to was USICS and they were satisfied( got my little approval letter ).

if you are proud of your past or should I say present! it thats your business! the way you will explain this to your kids and family again thats your business. you choose to sell yourself for school books thats your business. personally there are better ways to get through school. I rather have student aid than - do the nasty but that is your business. you dont have to justify your life to me or anyone. thats something you have to deal with. after all you are Proud! I dont think any one cares.

And I illustrate, spectacularly, why I shouldn't be answering posts on my early morning in the office! My mistake!

I dont regret my past. about my past marriages has nothing to do with you its my business. the only people I had to explain it to was USICS and they were satisfied( got my little approval letter ).

if you are proud of your past or should I say present! it thats your business! the way you will explain this to your kids and family again thats your business. you choose to sell yourself for school books thats your business. personally there are better ways to get through school. Neither do I expect you to regret your past-it is a past which is just as individual as mine. I don't agree with divorce, but that doesn't mean I'm going to condemn you for it. Your choice, your life. You go!

I also don't expect you, or anyone else, to accept or condone my past. If they do, fine; if they don't, that's fine too. In none of my posts did I say anything along the lines of "Oh, it wasn't that bad." or insinuate in any way, shape, or form that I was looking for acceptance. I was directly confronted, and I responded. I respect that some people have problems with porn, adult entertainment, and all related topics-I worked in it, I've made no secret of it, and I've come to see the complete gamut of reactions attached to it!

What I do expect is to not be attacked for my life choices, since they are mine to make and no one else's. This was a topic about the recent launch of my photography website, and I in no way provoked the topic at hand. I am not running around VJ posting "OMGZ I did P0rN look at MEeEEeeeEEE!". It's been mentioned in a few relevant topics, such as the one on how to deal with each others' pasts; and again, not as a way for me to seek acceptance, but in a relevant and contextual manner. If I wanted acceptance for my life choices, the last place I'd look for it is on the internet.

Shon, I am definitely not going to argue with you. Using divorce was just an example of how I disapprove of your life-I certainly don't attack it by calling it "dirty" or "nasty" (which people of my background believe it is), whether I think it's awful or no. I don't ascribe those adjectives to your actions, nor have I ever. Nor would I, out of respect for the fact that it is your life, not mine.

I am glad, however, that you understand that I am the one who has to live with myself, and I do so every single day. I've never had a problem looking in the mirror, or at the screen, or living with myself. Others seem to think I should, but I'm glad that you seem to at least have an understanding that a moral code is a strictly personal thing; what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for others. I'm not the first girl who worked her way through college this way, and I won't be the last. how we all live with ourselves is a deeply personal thing, something which would be as impossible for someone else to understand as it would be for me to understand why someone else lives the way they do. I don't try, but neither do I condemn.

GWen - the site is lovely. I just agree with some of the others. Definitely slow down the slide show...the photos are amazing

Secret confession: I would have had no objection to stripping to pay my way through college...maybe not porn, but definitely stripping. There were no strip clubs in my college town AND I didn't have the body...

You obviously like Gwen or her work, since I see people launch personal attacks on other people here all the time and it goes unpunished, or perhaps you just disliked me, who knows... Why is what I did a personal attack anyway? I actually apologised, and was interested to continue it as a potential debate, unlike someone else earlier in the thread who just came out with a comment based on gwen's appearance and recieved a slap on the wrist, I get a ban, and AFTER I apologise. Nice.

If you take no shame, gwen, in what you did to put yourself though school (most people get part time jobs to make it through; a freind of mine actually worked for a charity and lived on very little to put himself through uni, fu**ing your way through college for cash doesn't exactly seem laudable in comparison) gwen, why so quiet with your 'stage' name, maybe even post up a a link for those old enough to view it? Since you're proud and all.

Because this is a forum-and, might I point out, a TOPIC-which had nothing to do with my previous life choices-yuo brought it up, completely out of context ni a topic which had absolutely nothing to do with my former line of employment at all. It's not appropriate here or anywhere else on this site, there are people who *do* find it offensive and I do, as I pointed out, respect their right to do so-I have no desire or need to shove it in people's faces, AND pornographic material *is* against the TOS of the site. Perfectly good reasons, I would think.
