PISCATAWAY — This month through the end of the year, seniors in the township will get a little more help in the form of a boxed-meal program, thanks to federal stimulus funds.

...

Nutritionally balanced box meals containing fruit, meat, salad and dessert are available at the senior center with a $1 donation to seniors older than 60 at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, and at 11:30 a.m. Saturdays, according to literature provided at the center.

...

All seniors have to do to get the meals is sign up in advance for the meals they want through a form they can pick up at the senior center, Wahler said. They can sign up for as many or as few as they want, he said.

Barbara Rieger, a Piscataway resident, is taking advantage of the program. She signed up for the entire month of June and said she can't believe what a good deal it is.

"It gives you a break. You don't have to always worry about making a lunch, or if you want to go play bingo and your husband wants to stay home, he can do whatever he wants to do. So this frees me up. I can't tell you how good I feel. Three nights I don't have to worry about cooking."

Seniors in NJ are just about the NASTIEST old people alive....An 80+ year old woman once called me a ###### because I walked behind her car while she was trying to back up in a parking lot.

I want that $1 meal.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

All the milionaires will be at the head of the line for the $1 meals.. They are always looking to save a buck!!!!

The lady in the article, Barbara, I looked her up on our local land records DB... she owns a house that is valued at 330k by zillow.

Not wealthy but by no means needy either.
