thank you for that. The June 2009 Filers thread helped me to time my approval fairly accurately, so I was really waiting for the approval notice to arrive in my mailbox. I have checked the USCIS Web site at least once a day since I registered, and to this day there's not the slightest update, touch, anything on it since they received my biometrics.

Forgettaboutit!

Now I'm waiting for my 10 year GC to arrive, then I'll take a coupe of months off, after which I will have to "create" a file for the German government that supports my application to keep my German citizenship when becoming a naturalized USC. Since they don't accept anything that is reasonable, there's actually a Group on Yahoo that does nothing but help people who want to succeed in this fairly difficult task. I'll be one of them, but it won't be a cat walk.

Then, in June of next year, I'll be doing the N-400 thing with the majority of you guys.

But don't worry, since I intend to write a book that deals with the ordeals of immigration and need to learn as much as I can, I'll be hanging around on this forum, throwing around my 2 cents whenever I see fit.

Wish all of you the best of luck. Understand, I sent a very small file to USCIS with my I-751. No 100 pages, no 3 inches, just the few documents that show that I'm still happily married. If you file JOINTLY and are still living in harmony with your spouse, the I-751 is really just a formality and you won't be denied. The N-400 is even easier.

The letter just arrived out of the blue. There was no previous update online since my biometrics. The online status finally changed yesterday (10/13/09). Hope this helps.
