Oh I am getting stressed out again........it is almost 60 days since our INFOPASS appointment where we were told that an interview should be scheduled for us within the next 60 days. The Atlanta office is now processing 14 months past our AOS date and it seems we will never get an interview date. How many years can they keep you on hold like this......

Just venting some stress....can't think what other options we have.

That is pretty far behind. I don't blame you for stressing out. At the infopass did they give you any explanation as to why it was taking so long?

30 May 2006 Received appointment letter for JaX on 13 July 2006

13 July Interview successful approved

20 July Received green card

30 June 08 Sent I751 to remove conditions

25 July 08 Application returned erroneously incorrect fee

27 July mailed new application with separate checks

15 Sept 08 Application returned erroneously K2 not within 90 day timeframe

17 Sept Mailed 3rd application with mountains of proof of error copied Senator Mel Martinez

09 October 4th application package sent. This time they said the app signature page was a copy

10 Oct Sent package again 4th time.

25 Oct Received another NOA for Wife with $625 for the amount with one year extension

30 Oct 2008 Still nothing for step daughter. Checks still haven't cleared the bank

24 November Checks finally cleared the bank

February biometrics for wife Nothing for daughter.

June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

It looks like Atlanta is far behind as far as appointments go. I don't anticipate getting an interview date for months and months yet. Hope I am wrong. :(

I wouldnt really go by those dates.

I have seen alot of people just recently having interviews in Atlanta.

I know Shari, Tamz, Crazy Brit and myself just had ours a month ago.

I have never followed the dates on here, they seem to always be wrong.

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

If I remember correctly, the reason for the delay and the cancellation of your first interview was because the file hadn't arrived yet. I think, since there is still a delay, you might want to ask your congressman or senator to get involved and find out why it is still delayed. You could also make another infopass appointment. It has been long enough since the last one, and if the file still hasn't arrived, someone at immigration should get on top of that and find out why not and get it there. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your replies. It is correct that we were told that our initial interview that was scheduled for last year was cancelled because our file hadn't arrived in Atlanta at that stage. We were told at our infopass appointment though that the good news was that the Atlanta office had our file now and that we should expect to hear we had an interview date within 60 days. My husband said that we need to wait the 60 days so 7 more to go I guess I just expected it to happen sooner rather than later. We have now booked a weeks holiday in September so I am pretty sure our interview will be scheduled for then to cause us to cancel our trip. Such is life.
