Guys,

We just got two interview letters from USCIS today but it's kinda weird because both letters gave me two different dates for the interview. The first one stated: August 29 and the second one: August 30, 2006. Is this some kind of a mistake? Both letters were dated and sent on the same date. My husband plan on calling them (maybe on Monday) to clear things out but so far I never heard of two different dates for AOS interview. (We only filed for AOS)

Anybody could give us some insights please?

May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

Good luck on your AOS and my advice is for your hubby to contact them on Wednesday of next week to see the correct date for your interview. Most federal agencies are closed for Monday and Tuesday for the 4th of July. Take care and keep us updated.

Congratulations Maureen,

I have never heard of this. Perhaps you should go to the interview and if you have any problems you can just go back on the next day!!!

Seriously I would check on this. I would hate to get screwed up becuase they thought you missed an interview.

Is the interview in Atlanta?

09 October 4th application package sent. This time they said the app signature page was a copy

10 Oct Sent package again 4th time.

25 Oct Received another NOA for Wife with $625 for the amount with one year extension

30 Oct 2008 Still nothing for step daughter. Checks still haven't cleared the bank

24 November Checks finally cleared the bank

February biometrics for wife Nothing for daughter.

If I was in your shoes knowing what the 'misinformation' line is like at dealing with phone calls. I would just show up for the first date and if it's wrong at least you won't have missed it because they tell him the wrong thing when he rings!

If you take both letters and show them, they'd probably see you that day anyway as it's their mistake.

Thank you Joe, yes the interview is in Atlanta and that's almost 5 hours drive from here. We figured somebody said "Did you send the interview letter to that Indonesian women yet?" and another one said "I'm not sure...let's send it again!" :lol:

Staring at the two letters now, I realized that the first one that scheduled me for August 29, 2006 said it's at 02:30 PM and the other one for August 30, 2006 said it's at 08:30 AM. Hubby said "Please let's just go to the first one!" :lol:

I think that's what we will do, called their '1-800' line first and show up on August 29.

Oh btw, do we have to make an infopass or we just show up with the letters?

You don't need an infopass Maureen since you already have an appointment.

I am so glad to see you pass quickly through the AOS. It's pretty mild compared to the ordeal at the embassy. You certainly deserve a break.

I don't think you will mind the drive to Atlanta. It is a neat place. It is a shame that it is so hot right now.

Oh yes Joe, we are so thankful that although we were a bit 'late' in filing for our AOS it went pretty smoothly this far. I sure hope you guys will get Lucero's GC ASAP! Thank you for always being so positive and supportive my friend! Take care and my love for Lucero!

Hi Maureen,

I'm very sure that you'll get your GC real soon after the interview. Congrats!

I-129 F / K-1 Visa in 2005:

Jan 10 : Received NOA 1 from VSC

Jan 27 : Received approval e-mail

Feb 5 : Received NVC letter

Feb 9 : Received NOA letter

Mar 7 : Received packet for visa interview

Apr 25 : Medical exam

Apr 26 : Screened documents and interview approved

May 13 : Picked up visa

Sep 11 : Went to the US

Oct .... : Got SSN in maiden name

Nov 13 : Wedding Day!

AOS in 2005 till 2006 :

Dec 12 : Sent AOS + EAD

Dec 22 : Received NOA1 letter

Dec 28 : Got touched

Feb .... : Received SSN in married name

Feb 18 : Received Bio letter of AOS + EAD

Feb 23 : Appointment of biometrics of AOS + EAD

The rest is a waiting game :)

Feb 25 : Got touched AOS + EAD

Mar 1 : Received an e-mail stating EAD card will be sent

Mar 2 : Received an e-mail stating an approval letter is already sent

Mar 4 : Received EAD card in the mail

May 24 : AOS Interview

July 14 : Touched (said that the decision took 120 days)

July 19 : InfoPass Appointment & Passport got stamped for GC. What a surprise!

July 20 : Got a welcome letter from USCIS and that GC card would be mailed soon. What a surprise!

July 25 : Got a GC in the mailbox. Wow...what a real relief! My status is now clear:)

Deal with USCIS again in April 2008

*07.29.05 sent package i-129f to california

*08.02.05 recveived NOA1

*10.17.05 received NOA2

*11.01.05 colombia's embassy received package

*12.05.05 interview date

*12.06.05 recieved VISA

*12.20.05 came to U.S.A!!!!

*12.28.05 applied for a Social Security

*01.05.06 received Social Security card =)

*02.11.06 married....

**AOS**

*03.01.06 sent package for AOS & EAD

*03.03.06 package arrived at unit (Chicago,il 60699)

*03.18.06 NOA1 for AOS & EAD (notice date 03.08.06)

*04.15.06 he had his Biometric taken

*04.17.06 EAD & AOS touched

*05.03.06 AOS touched again & case transfered to CALIFORNIA.

*05.12.06 EAD APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.
