Hi all!

I was looking at the USCIS site for an update on my wife's status and they have yet to update it. It still shows the same date as when I filed the both documents. I filed the I-130 on 11/26/08 and the I-129F on 12/02/08

I was looking at other people's timeline that are similar to mine. I noticed that people know when their file was touched on prior to their approval. How can you check whether or not our file was looked at?

I'm not sure if the question has been answered before. My apologies if this is a duplicate topic.

Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Andrew

Look at case status on USCIS website, any time case status date changes this is a touch.

Also about K-3, lately USCIS has been tying I-129F and I-130 together and approving on same date. This defets the reason for K-3, (to allow spouse to enter the USA and WAIT for I-130 approval). If both are approved on same date for you, then seriously consider NOT going K-3 and keeping the CR-1 moving through NVC. Simply postpone K-3 interview to allow CR-1 to catch up.

I have a very similar situation (timeline). I guess we just have to be patient and hope for the best. One thing I don't understand why some cases are getting approved when the applicants file few weeks after our filing dates. I wonder what criteria they are using in processing apps. Perhaps they are just picking apps randomly and processing it, who knows! Anything a govt does whether it is US or Uganda is always chaotic

Thanks guys I appreciate the link and the update. Desi, hope we get some information soon. I was looking at the USCIS timeline for the Vermont Service Center. Their time frame online is 6 months. I'm at that mark right now. I wonder how long I should wait before really worrying.
