Thank you thank yoU!

Will I need something like that later though?

yes, you will need to bring it to the interview, probably 4-8 months after you file...

1. As others have said, you certainly don't need this now for filing I-129F

2. When you get to the interview stage it is a good idea to have some transcripts of your Skype history, especially if that is your primary form of communication. We use skype as well. My fiancee has been amassing history for the past several months. In your Skype client, go to "View"->"History" (or else Alt-3). I don't know of any way to output everything to a file. But you can do screen-captures and save as images. I think that's more convincing anyway, since you can capture the Skype client window with the log of all the dates/times of your calls and chats.

We downloaded a program that compiled a record of our free Skype calls. Instructions are here:

Still works as far as I know, and it's less complicated than it may look. Good luck.

I use Pamela for Skype. It has a nicely compiled call history log which I screen print to a jpeg and then paste that into a Word doc and print.

Hi all,

How do I find my skype log on skype to prove our ongoing relationship? Do you think this is necessary for the I-129 since it does not prove we have met, but it proves we have an ongoing relationship?

They dont care ! I tried to show yahoo phone calls accumulated over years and they did not even look at it. They like to see photos and emails. ... plenty of emails -- old ones are better

In my husband's case, they didn't even care about e-mails -- just wanted the pictures. But we figured it was better for him to come armed with everything we had rather than having to spam the consulate's fax machine with proof in case of a threatened return to USCIS, which was not unusual for our consulate.
