USCIS has to return a response to a congressman with in 48 hours . Unless you are refering to your case being completed they should know what is going on with in a couple of days unless the congressmans office is dragging thier feet.

I find it interesting that many times after the congressman/woman calls poof things are moving again. They say they have no power but USCIS and the NVC must feel some kind of pressure from govenment officials when they call or it wouldnt be like that. My wifes USCIS papers we completed the day after my congressman called them huh? funny how that is also same with the NVC.

Good for you!

I hope you hear something VERY soon.

Keep us posted :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

After 6 1/2 months, my case moved immediately following both a senator inquiry and a service request.

I got notice from USCIS that they received my service request on 4/27 and the case was pending. On 4/28 I was approved.
